Any songs recommendation you have for me?

It all started with Le Tigre, deceptacon. What I liked about it was the voice, there feels like a sort of anger. The lyrics were somewhat sexually charged.

Others I really like:

Hell, Sleater-Kinny

Pretend we're dead, L7

Speed Queen, Thunderpussy

Do you wanna touch me, Joan Jett

Bright yellow gun, Throwing Muses

Maggot, Slutever

Rebel Girl, Bikini kill

Smother me, Slutever

Father of lies, The Velveteers

No importa, She devils

Hate the weekend, Tacocat

Should I clean and condition these boots?

I thrifted these today, I really liked the look and they fit. They have this sort of sheen, that's not too bright. The contrast btw the toe box and the rest also looks great.

I plan to have them last me a long time.

There are a few problems with the lace rings, they are rusted a bit and have leaked a bit of color on the inside.

The inside is also a bit scuffed, the inner sole is coming off a bit but there is a tommy Hilfiger logo sewn over it so its bunched up there.

Should I clean the rings? It wouldn't harm the leather?

Should I take out the inner sole?

Does anyone know where to get actual good quality clothing in Lahore?

I have worn the basic cotton shirts from brands like outfitter, breakout, charcoal, engine etc etc. They turn to literal shit after 6 to 7 months, color fades, the fit stretches or becomes tight.

I bought two black tee shirts from cambridge on sale, the weave is so tight and they have shrunk so much. Its supposed to be one of the better brands. Also the material is one hundred percent cotton so its definitely the way it was made.

On top of wasting money, it just feels sad, a lot of resources went into this product and it lasts for such a short time.

Compare this to the shirt I got from a card company(some promotional stuff), the black hasn't faded after years, its so breathable, the weave feels light yet it keeps its shape, the collar is comfy. I feel like an actual human with a decent shape.

I have heard about Kareem block and Landa Bazaar. Kareem block honestly sounds like the same shit at a lower price so its better I guess, I haven't explored the unbranded shops so maybe that where the quality is.

I basically plan to make my own prints however they might turn out on cotton shirts.

Can you help identifying this guitar and its value?

Its listed for around $230, the listing is in my city in Pakistan and generally there are mark ups on stuff.
I am not very versed in electric guitars and looking to buy my first one. I thought Fenders were supposed to be more expensive than this.
What might be the chances of me getting ripped off?
What should I ask the seller about the guitar?
What should I keep an eye for if I go to purchase?

I was thinking of getting a Squier classic vibes, second hand, so it'll have decent resale value.

Where can I explore the realm of Metaphysics?

I have no previous foray into philosophy, I have very limited knowledge of the well known philosophers. I am not familiar with the terminologies.
However I do have an interest in the true nature of a thing, I include humans into that. I was exploring a yogic tradition called Raja Yoga, the eight limbs as described by Patanjali.
The last limb in particular is called Samadhi. From my understanding it can be described as liberation from the material, that includes the tangibles of the human(body, identity, memories). You reach Samadhi when you become one with the object of the meditation, the object becomes one with you.
I do not wanna go too much into Samadhi because my own understanding is mostly intellectual. The yogic path has dried up a bit or rather become more stale.
This all started with a very intense experience of derealization. It was such an experience but that is besides the point.
I recently found out that within philosophy this is a core domain of study called metaphysics.
Its fascinating that on one hand, you have the Eastern spiritual traditions and their methods are based so much on priming the mind into such a state, on the other hand some cultures induced such experiences through psychedelics.

Feeling the most lonely despite figuring myself out somewhat.

I have lived my whole life as a boy. Recently been growing out my hair and started questioning my identity, maybe I'm non-binary. This is hard to talk about and my mind blanks at any notion of acceptance. I'm 25 years old and dependent, for now, on my parents support, we live in a very conservative country. I have already decided to not tell people in my life, for fear of it reaching my family, and in doing so I realize there is no one I can be my true self with.

My four male friends from high school are transphobic and homophobic(they don't like being called it thou), something that I thought might change if they spent more time around me. Despite spending a considerable amount of time with them I don't really want to see them. I talked to my therapist about it some time ago and her opinion of it was to "not write them off just yet". Also I was scared to established where she stood on this topic about Bigotry and I got the vibe she was as well. Its been hard to find decent therapy for the dogshit parenting I was put through.

It feels nice trying to connect with something that is a part of myself. I find myself wanting to wear feminine rings, something I saw in this anime. I find myself scrutinizing poorly written female characters in the fiction I read. I find myself relating to female characters generally like in that show Normal People. I feel good when I look feminine in a mirror. But, I wonder sometimes, does this just happen like that? Where was all this? Why so late at 25? Am I just posing?

Maybe its no coincidence that this happened when it did. I have been writing fiction recently after a breakthrough in a therapy session. My second ever short story after this has been from the pov of a Non-binary character. I have also recently been in a very progressive discord group of writers and maybe that has also been a contributing factor.

Me being 'abnormal' has been a sort of a running gag in my family. I'm not so chuffed about them but they love me in their ways. My whole life I have felt like an outsider, so I brought this up my therapist and she shut it down. From her perspective I have been made to feel 'abnormal' my whole life. She probably meant well and I don't mean to equate neurodivergence with being not normal, but I have been thinking about looking to get diagnosed professionally. What sucks is that mental health care is very poor in my country. Its also really backwards and finding an actual expert who deals in Adult diagnoses might prove impossible.

Also for the first time in my life I have started showing interest in dating, there's this person I met through a discord channel some years ago, so I sent a message. We have been talking about anime games, music and life I guess. Maybe this is also not a coincidence that I am showing interest in dating right around the time I have started figuring myself out.

Also been thinking about finding a new therapist who is more versed in this stuff but its gonna be such a fucking pain. I would like to have some advice. I feel like I'm floating alone in the sea.

Where to buy Sci-Fi Fantasy books apart from Readings?

I am looking to buy mostly second hand originals. Stuff like Fevre Dream and Windhaven from George R.R Martin.
Jade City by Fonda Lee, this one is newer so might be more expensive.
First Law, Joe Abercrombie. Season of Storms by Andrej Sapowski
I have been looking at onlinebooksoutlet dot com, dunno if it legit or not. Instagram pages but they are such a chore, I've been scrolling but haven't found any that caught my eye.
I have heard of Urdu Bazaar but will they have these books? Also is it open only on Sundays?

How to move on from your finished story?

So I wrote a short story, this was my fourth one ever. I though it was worth something so I decided to get feedback on it. I found some people on discord and joined a workshop called Critters.
The system on critters is that you give critiques and receive it when your manuscript bubbles to the top. It will be two more weeks for my turn depending on the queue.
Since finishing the final draft of my story I haven't written anything or read much apart from the manuscripts of other members in the workshop. Which has helped a bit with identifying my own flaws.
The feedback from the discord group was good, some of it I'm conflicted on.

I have ideas for new stories but whenever I think about writing a new one my mind wanders back to the finished one. There is an obsession about finding what worked in it and what didn't.

Is this common among writer?

How do I let go? A long walk?

I need recommendations, series with great characters, prose that really flows.

Generally looking for third person perspective, specifically third limited but I know I can't be that picky.

My absolute favorite would be George R.R Martin, he has amazing pacing in my opinion, the prose flows really well. The characterization is really great.

The Witcher series I also enjoyed. The great thing about it was the plot made the world seem vast and make the reader feel small, which cannot be said about other authors I have read like Martin or Sanderson.

Their stories deal with world ending powers and upon the characters successful triumph the world becomes flat and loses much of its mystery(i assume it will feel the same with asoiaf if it ever finishes). This is much more a problem with Sanderson's worlds. I still enjoyed Mistborn first age thoroughly and read book till book two of second age. In Stormlight archives I couldn't focus on the story when they reached shadesmar I dropped it. Had other problems with Stormlight Archives which weren't there in Mistborn.

With martins dunk and egg novellas this didn't feel as big of a problem for some reason. Maybe because the story is kinda about a nobody in Westeros, although I think he might be one of my favorite characters.

Some of martins short stories are also amazing like, way of cross and dragon, mistfall, song of laren dorr. Also the emperors soul by Brandon Sanderson was a real page turner.

Also the King killer chronicles was good even though it was first person, which I don't like. Maybe because its set up like a nestled perspective.

Things I didn't like:

-The Wheel of Time

it felt overly verbose, the prose was needlessly slow and complicated. The dialogue felt bad. It kept losing me.

- Farseer trilogy

I saw that it was first person pov from only one character and didn't give it much of a read, felt like it would get a bit stale sticking with one character.

- Malazan

This one I am on the fence about, great prose flows well with good pace, like the dialogue, you can almost seem to distinguish the character by their dialogue only. But so far I feel absolutely stranded and I hear this is the general ride. I also hear it introduces a lot of characters which I feel coupled with the no hands held hit the ground running sort of writing style I might not like.

- First Law

This one was great otherwise, amazing dialogue and distinct character voice, great prose. Only that the crux of the problems of the stories were unclear even though I had read a decent amount. I guess maybe the barriers of plot weren't introduced quick enough for me.

Most of these I would probably love If I got into them maybe at a different time and headspace maybe except Wheel of Time.

Obviously this is all subjective taste.

Is this style commissionable?

I feel like most commission artists I see either do like an anime style or like animal portraits. I know really anyone with any style can get commissions if they sell themselves well. I’m just wondering if there’s really a market for this kind of art. I’m not sure who my target audience would be or what I’d even charge for something like these

Help with kimchi recipe Substitutions.

My brother brought a packet of Jonga kimchi from germany and it tasted amazing, very umami, sweet and salty. There was a nice fishy component and a toasted spice like smell. I cannot get kimchi here and also some of the ingredients listed on the package.

Here is the list of the ingredients. I Have converted the food codes into ingredients.

: Napa Cabbage (70.9%), Radish (7%), Glucose-fructose syrup, Rice paste (Water, Rice powder), Red chili powder (2.2%), Onion (1.9%), Garlic, Salt, Fermented anchovy sauce (Anchovies (Fish), Salt), Flavor enhancer (MSG), Korean leek (1.1%), Emulsifier (xanthan gum), Chives (0.6%), Fermented shrimp sauce (Shrimp (Crustaceans), Salt), Vinegar, Acidity regulator (adipic acid), Lactic acid bacteria.

Most of the recipes I have seen call for similar ingredients apart from the emulsifiers and acidity regulators which obviously aren't used in a home recipe. I cannot find gochugaru and the fermented shrimps locally. They are available on some websites but the cost is ridiculous.

I do have whole kashmiri chillies on the other hand and a Thai fermented shrimp paste but some people say that fish sauce only should suffice.

Should I add some paprika or cayenne as for the smoky flavors I would be missing not using gochugaru?

I also notice there isn't any fruit in this list, was that part of the flavor profile added using the fructose-glucose syrup?

Is it possible to find remote Employment opportunities from foreign countries?

I live in Pakistan and the game development scene here is non existent.

I have been doing a course in unreal engine blueprints and next is probably the c++ course.

I'm really enjoying the whole process.

My understanding was that the requirements for getting a job was around 3 years of experience and a portfolio with finished products be it game jams, games, or other technical projects.

I had a decent understanding of the requirements, at least in my opinion.

But I had forgotten to factor in my location, I'm seeing that most jobs require you to already be living in that country. It's part of the legal requirements of full time employment.

On the other hand I know remote is a huge thing in the programming industry.

I have seen some remote positions but mostly this revelation has really messed with my sense of direction in regards to employment.

Most of the advice online seemed to be for people living in the West.

I had almost all of the ingredients, kaffir lime zest, leaves, shrimp paste and the rest except for thai bird chili which I substituted with local chilies. I followed Hot Thai Kitchens recipe.

Couldn't find any of the vegetables except bamboo shoots in cans, I thought the smell was only a temporary thing so I chucked them in. Should have opted for zucchini.

Lo and behold the flavor is amazing but every bite is accompanied with an aroma of piss.

I had washed them and tasted them beforehand, they tasted bland and mushy. I figured boiling them should be out of the question.

I'm so angry is there anyway to reduce the smell?

What are bamboo shoots like in Thailand? I'm guessing this was a problem specific to my country. There is no way for a product to be this smelly after the canning process.
