3D printer manufacturers are cowards

Louis Rossman makes a fantastic point at around 2:10, where were you PRUSA RESEARCH!? I know they have spoken out against the bill and signed onto the "A Letter from the Industry", but man it would have been nice to seen representation from Prusa Research or printed solid there.

It's annoying being a clichè

Here I am, getting irrationally angry hearing fireworks. My wife understood and is having fun out there with the neighbors and stuff and I'm just doing all the tips and tricks to not scream

RV home in your backyard

I'm trying to prepare for the future and about 5 years I'm predicting I'll need to take care of my parents. And planning for that I am looking at either a new build like a little casita in the backyard but I was recently told that an RV home might even do better and the prices on some of these things look incredible that are fully furnished. What are some considerations I should be mindful of.

Igus prusa mini

Hey all, I just installed the ide igus rods and bushings and I'm loving it so far, but I'm running into the y axis wobble tilting as similarly described here; https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/user-mods-octoprint-enclosures-nozzles/my-experience-with-the-igus-bushings-rjzm-01-08-on-the-y-axis/

What I'm thinking is to maybe reprint the y axis front and back plate and cut about 2mm indent to allow the igus bushing more space to hit against when it's moving to it's extreme front and back. Maybe this would get rid of that wobble?

Thoughts?

SSDI application

So I'm asking you guys, what was the process like for you and considerations before I decide to pull the trigger and apply for SSDI.

And yes, I'm unemployed, blown up army vet with 20+ years in service, med retirement and 100 p&t

Prusa mini rebuild

Wish me luck guys, going to tackle reprinting the parts in PETG GF. Asking you guys for your personal opinion on what mods you've printed that made printing more accurate and rigid?

I have the build plate silicone mod and the z axis mod (wobble x) on it already along with a slice engineering copperhead.

Make me an offer. You're responsible for picking up. It's in perfect shape, just not using as much to justify.

Q2 macros

Hey everyone, I'm in the middle of printing my riser for my Q2 and I upgraded the fan for a 5015 Honeybadger and even used the stock fan mount, and it's awesome.

I'm loving this printer so far. I wanted to ask you all what adjustments or additional macros did you use that you've found increased quality of life or print quality

Double purge?

Got my Q2 up, been messing with it and noticed it does a double purge? any ideas for the reasons why? comparing orcaslicer with Qidi studio, looks like the start G code both have the double purge... never really seen that before with all my other printers.

Hey all, I'm excited to share that I'm getting a q2 here in a few days.

I want to level up my printing game with engineering filaments, there are some fan shroud mods I was looking at to, what filaments would you guys suggest I print that van shroud as?

Additionally, I'm looking at: PET, PCTG, PEK

A nervous about ABS and ASA for the fumes

How much would you expect to pay for a used MK4S (cryogrip, obxidian cht nozzle, 1.5gt belt modified).

I want to price approximately and want to get you-alls opinions.

Looking for input, need help to decide which route to take. Curious if anyone has had positive experiences with their Q2?

I have a Prusa MK4S that I have upgraded to the 1.5 GT belts and have done other modifications to the bed belt assembly. This thing prints very reliably. I have the original bill of sale as well so you can contact prusa or any transfer of warranty.

Also included is the cryogrip pro glacier build plate, .04mm obxidian nozzle, the nozzle adapters, the accelerometer, and all the original pieces too including the 2gt belts. I've also modded some lights on the unit as well.

The spool holder is broken but I taped it on and it works flawlessly.

There's a lot of work done on this guy hate to see him go but Im moving on to other projects. I have dedicated time and money into this machine to upgrade it so you should have a good time printing as soon as you get home.

$600 or best offer

I was doing my research looking into flashforge and found the controversy they had about monitoring printing. Is this still a concern for flashforge users?

Hey all, I've been saving money to upgrade my mk4s to a core one, but I'm starting to struggling now. I need to hear other people's comments.

Id rather upgrade than buy a whole new c1 unit, it's cheaper and I enjoy building.

I have a snapmaker U1 and tonight I was doing a lot of printing and jeez, the U1 is just such an outstanding printer. It's better than my mk4 that I've tuned, modded and upgraded...

Even the centaur carbon looks good, 250 is insane for a printer that can reach really high temps.

I desperately want to support a good company, but it's taking me months to save to just get the upgrade kit, now the indx is another 1k?!

Or I can just spend the money and get a U1 in two months, it's larger, perfect quality or even two centaur carbons.

Not going bambu, I really dislike their business decisions.

should I continue the course and save for the C1?
