Flock in Louisiana is nuts

Flock in Louisiana is nuts

These are the 2 most egregious examples, a local mall and Lowes.

To make it worse if you are anywhere in rte greater New Orleans area you can't use the interstate without being flocked. Every single entrance and exit has a flock camera. The only ways to enter and exit Kenner through to Slidell in the area is the interstate. Basically you can't be in Nola without being tracked.

How it started vs how it's going.

First photo is when I purchased it, 2nd and 3rd are after I got it running, 4th and 5th are as of today. Still have a ways to go.

Outside of aesthetics I have installed a new clutch, fixed the air conditioner, interior swapped it, repaired frayed wires and re-loomed the engine harness. Replaced the ball bearings on the idler pulleys, Installed a PI intake and rebuilt a junkyard alternator for it (originally it had the wrong size alternator).

Everything that looks new was media blasted in a cabinet my dad bought for me as a gift (I couldn't do this without his support ♥️)

I haven't touched the timing cover yet because I plan to do a PI head swap soon, plus it has the wrong timing cover currently (Incorrect belt routing, it's not the original motor, I suspect it's a crown vic pull)

Unfortunately she is a smoker because the valve stem seals are shot due to it sitting for 7 years, I was going to just replace the seals and install a new timing chain for reliability but ultimately decided I want to do PI heads since it's not that much extra work all things considered, plus currently cylinder 4's spark plug is insanely corroded due to a coolant leak the previous owners ignored and I'm worried it'll strip out, so instead of fighting it, PI heads for the win.

Overall this project has been absolutely amazing and it's helped me deal with the grief of losing my grandpa recently, in a way I'm doing it in his memory.

Anyways that'll be all!

A long abandoned Win Dixie

Probably one of the most surreal places I've been in, the bathrooms have rotted into the ground to the point the room was only 5ft high floor to ceiling.

Apperantly A24 suddenly thinks they own all of the backrooms.

Many people have been reporting copyright strikes for backrooms fan games, textures, and other references on Google play, Twitter and other spaces. Apparently the company thinks if they make a movie that suddenly they own the source material that existed years before the movie was even conceptualized. For an idea of how ridiculous this is, it's like saying James Cameron owns the Titanic and every survivor's story because of the movie he made.

With how shitty the world is becoming at what point is it enough, it's literally 1984, can't have shit anymore, even decades old community internet creepypastas apparently.

I don't understand how my engine even ran.

Pulled the wiring harness on my 98 mustang gt to Reloom and restore the harness, turns out, I made the right choice, not only were multiple wires damaged by rodents, but both the cam position, and crank position sensor connectors looked like this. How the engine ran fine, without ever even shutting off when hitting bumps is beyond me.

Found in the Louisiana swamp in New Orleans east. Give it y'all's best shot

I've managed to identify both the engine, car it's from, and roughly the year, just curious if anyone else can guess it.

Got my trusty v6 repainted

Yes it was maaco, though they did a pretty good job with minimal over spray, it really brought it back to life and I've had a few people mistake it for a GT (not trying to hide it's a v6) overall I'm just doing what I can to keep her on the road . Say hi to my boss in image 3 lmao

I've gotten my engine to run after slumbering for 7 years, and it feels and sounds very healthy, I replaced the fuel tank and pump due to rust, cleaned the injectors, and replaced the air intake to get it to run. I've also replaced the entire interior (it was moldy due to 7 years of the window being left down) and fixed tons of minor things (hood latch, hood release, removed the aftermarket security system, fixed wiring problems, got the air conditioner recharged, etc). This weekend I'm going to pull the transmission to inspect the damage from the failed clutch, and order the clutch as well as everything else I need to get her moving again. Admittedly my order of operations has been odd due to budget constraints, but otherwise wish me luck everyone
