Likely a dumb question, but what parts are interchangeable between an Outlander and the patrol/comp models of the A300 line? Can forends be interchanged? Barrels?
I ask because a friend is offering a used outland for cheap and i have thoughts of converting it into a budget competition model, replacing the barrel with a 24 inch comp barrel and a patrol forend etc.
Has the 1301 comp been discontinued, specifically looking at the standard comp w/ 21 inch barrel.
Also what is the general consensus from owners? Any first hand commentary?
Really wanting to pick up an A300 model and fell in love with the features on the Competition model - specifically the milled receiver for a dot, the standard ribbing, and the 24 inch barrel as i plan to use this for clay shooting. Is there any company that sells a magazine plug that can cap this down to 5 rounds for state compliance?
Found a local jewelry shop selling a naked YM, fell in love with the fit instantly but hesitant considering the asking price with b/p’s.
Am i overblowing the need for them? - the dealer is trusted and know for trading alot of Rolex’s so im not really worried its a fake - just more so overall resell ability down the line.
