Had a first interview with a pretty elite School In my area for an assistant director job of extracurricular programs. Since I earned my masters a few years ago It has been my goal to work in a school setting and have yet to reach that goal. Did a great job in first interview. Also had in an in as I coached there at one point. They called me the following Monday stating I was a finalist and wanted to interview the following week on campus. I stated that I had my family vacation planned for that week, but was available T-F anytime the week before. They said this was fine and they understood as it is vacation season, and would try and schedule during the week before. Due to their own staff vacations they could not schedule, but the HR director emailed me stating they still wished to interview me and would schedule this week when I returned. Well I got an email today stating “We had hoped to include you among the finalist candidates; however, because we were unable to align interview schedules within the required timeline, we had to move forward with other candidates.”

Im so defeated as this was basically a dream job for me and a great opportunity with great benefits and opportunity to be there for life. I feel this is something I’ll think about “what if”forever. Wish I would have said I could make something work and went down to meet my wife and son later on vacation, but they assured it me it wasn’t a problem” so I felt comfortable about it. Now I’m sick and feel so horrible.

It was a very ugly crime scene, they tried pulling the bunny off the victim, but he just kept going and going and going.
