Sick of begging to pay cash!

I like to pay cash at fast food so my wife can’t track my diet. I’m sick of having to beg a McDonalds employee to come to the counter and take cash. Is this problem just McDonalds or will I have the same issue at BK or Carl’s Jr and Arby’s? I think In n Out is still cool at the counter. What fast food places still have someone at the counter to take cash easily?

on edit: if you’re going to attack me for hiding my diet please state how long you’ve been married, lol. I’ve been married 26 years and we are until death do us part.

Help me pull the trigger!

I keep deciding to stay longer. I am 61 with about $1.2 million saved and will receive a pension over $5,500 when I retire. But obviously staying means it all keeps growing and I receive a paycheck. How do you decide when enough is enough? It almost feels disrespectful to leave a well paying job (even though I hate it) that isn’t that hard while others struggle.

I know the decision is mine but I keep setting dates and then as they get closer it is easy to think about stating a little bit longer. Biggest motivator is staying out of spite for this administration that wants me to leave, lol.

Am I the only one that goes through this?

Asking for a friend.

Is the Humpty Dance appropriate in this situation?

So this morning I was just trying to enjoy my Costco executive hours in peace and quiet with a $1.50 hot dog and soda and this guy sits at my table. Fine, even at these morning hours there is limited space. No big deal. Welcome. But then he starts playing some radio or something on his phone with talking talking a mans voice - not even a phone call. I look at him a few times but he doesn’t get the hint. I never know what to do with people that don‘t respect any one else but I had heard the Humpty Dance on the radio on the way to the store. So, I decided to give him a taste of that and ever so slowly increased the volume. Well, he skedaddled off in 15 seconds flat. Another day, another small victory.

Can Yelp be fixed?

Yelp just removed a whole bunch of legitimate reviews because the owner complained. Reviewers with valid receipts showing they dined there repeatedly stated it was an uncomfortable environment as the owner constantly spouts political and racist views when customers just want breakfast. How can Yelp maintain any legitimacy when they are so corrupt and bow to owners.

How long to receive annual leave payout?

put another way - what is the earliest I can retire but still have the annual leave payout be in the 2027 tax year? Do I have to wait until late December or will the end of November be enough?

Does High 3 include lump sum back pay and/or bonuses?

My agency was forced (or agreed) to pay a lump sum settlement of backpay in September 2023. I think the SF-50 just calls it an “award” or ”bonus”. I also got yearly bonuses in 2024 and 2025. will they be included in the high 3 calculation or is it just my official salary?

Anybody get table service?

I don’t go to McDonald’s often but when I do the app says I can just sit down and get food delivered to a table by number. But most times I try it they just put it on the counter and (maybe) call my name. Why do they even offer that if they rarely deliver? I don‘t even mind waiting at the counter but when you create the expectation of table service and then just sit my food out to rot with me waiting like an idiot your just making the experience worse, not better! And no it isn’t even busy.

is there any reliable information on how long it is taking from retirement date to when you receive your final pension? I have heard individual reports but wondered if there is an official source?
