TVS Ronin service bill — ₹10k for "ECU sensor" replacement, even though NO water damage found anywhere — not in engine, not in oil, not even the spark plug. Also charged labor on my 2nd service?
So after all the waterlogging drama, got the bike back — total bill came to ₹10,000. Here's the confusing part: they confirmed there was no water in the engine, no water in the oil, spark plug was totally fine — basically no actual water damage anywhere they could show me. But they still said the "ECU sensor bigad gaya" (ECU sensor got damaged) and charged me for replacing it.
On top of that — this is only my 2nd service, and they still charged me labor charges? Thought early services usually don't have labor cost, or is that not a thing anymore?
Feels off that they couldn't point to any actual water damage but still landed me a 10k bill on an "ECU sensor" I can't even verify. Did anyone ask for the OBD report before paying — should I have pushed for that first? Anyone had labor charged this early into ownership? Trying to figure out if I got taken for a ride here.
Bike stalled due to heavy rain waterlogging. Thankfully water didn't seem to reach the engine, but some sensors + a relay got damaged. Service center says it's an "ECU sensor" issue and needs replacement — but they still haven't confirmed the exact problem even after all this time.
It's been sitting there for 6 days now, zero updates from their side, no calls, nothing. Have to keep following up myself.
Checked online and the ECU sensor seems to start around ₹6k+, but not sure if that's accurate or what the total cost (parts + labor) usually comes to for something like this. Also curious .. is a 6-day wait normal, or should I be pushing them harder?
Anyone been through something similar? What was your total bill, and how long did the repair actually take?
Tvs ronin 2026 prurchased(6 months back) Got stuck in deep water during heavy rain, bike stalled in it. After that, self-start button does nothing — no crank, no sound. No kick option on this model either.
Tried a push start — 3rd gear, friends pushed from behind, released clutch on momentum. It fired briefly but didn't actually start. Didn't try again after that, pushed the bike home instead.
Any technical person here ? Should i try to start it again in morning? As i need to take it to the service center..
Should i wait for 1-2 days to let it be dry & then start again?
