Suddenly feel like crap.

Started on 2.5mg of triz until moving up to 3.0 and eventually 3.3 where I sit now. I’ve been on triz for a total of 13 weeks. At the beginning of week 12, I began experiencing constant dizziness, fatigue, and just generally like crap.

Since starting I’ve tracked calories, protein, fat/fiber/sugar/carbs. I’ve been getting roughly 90-115 g of protein daily, 50-60 g of carbs, and unfortunately very little fats and fiber. 9-15 g of sugar tops.

Calories have averaged 950 daily. That’s when I seem to feel satisfied…however, I think it may be causing this. So, yesterday I began ensuring I get at least 1,200-1,300 cals in a day for my current height/weight (5’1, 154 lbs). That extra 200-300 doesn’t seem like much to me, but a few have suggested to me that it’s the culprit. I’ll be ensuring this daily, but gonna see how I feel after several days of better fueling with cals and see if it makes a difference. If not, I’ll start looking into more bloodwork.

Staying hydrated constantly but could certainly do better. Not getting the 100ml for sure.

BP reporting normal. Blood sugar reporting normal.

Back in the day I was pre-diabetic and would get dizzy and lightheaded when my blood sugar got low. This is definitely different than that. This is just a constant dizziness that’s very unsettling. It doesn’t prevent me from typing or working or talking, it’s just very uncomfortable!

Anyone living in Woodstock, Troy, Kingston or other parts of upstate NY?

I just know that any day now I’m going to get the boot from this sub because I’m always inquiring about various places 😅 Assuming that doesn’t happen…

I’m looking for a place to move with a real music scene, 4 seasons, dreamy nature with easy and real access (not like Denver which requires an hour+ of traffic to get into anywhere isolated), COL that can be supported by 100k, and some opportunity to date 30s/40s.

Many friends have suggested upstate NY to me recently, so I’ve grown curious.

Big bonus if there are good bookstores.

Calories

How many of you are tracking calories? This week I started feeling really crappy; dizzy, exhausted (even more than my usual fatigue), and sometimes even cold. Brain foggy a little, too. Someone told me I should start counting calories to ensure I’m getting at least 1200 because I’ve likely had too low for too long now and causing me to feel this way. What I have been tracking since starting is protein and fiber. While my protein count is really really great, I think my low calories might have caused this…

CPA recommendation for LLC bookkeeping

I saw that something similar had been posted a couple years ago, but just wanted to make a new post on the subject since it’s been some time since that original post.

Just looking for recommendations for a CPA that can support me with taxes/bookkeeping and guidance on my new single member LLC as a 1099 contractor.

For those sensitive to side effects, what titration schedule did you or are you following?

Not long ago I moved from 2.5 to 3.75 and it was pretty gnarly. Extreme fatigue that I’ve never before felt and couldn’t get any meaningful food on board two days post shot day. I moved down to 3.2 and am adjusting much better and able to hit my protein, etc. However, the food noise honestly is creeping back and I’m beginning to slightly stall. That said, I can’t wipe myself out right away to 3.75 just yet, because it interfered with my ability to get up and work. Just curious what those of you are doing as far as small titration jumps (how much and how frequent) for those that are moving incrementally.

FATIGUE with dose increase

I know that there are many quite helpful posts about fatigue in particular, so I do apologize for adding another. I just find it really, really helpful posting about my exact details and hearing everyone’s thoughts.

After a little over a month on zep 2.5mg, my hunger and cravings were coming back strong. I did really well with 2.5 overall so this felt like an appropriate time to titrate up. I moved up (last Sunday 6/28) for the first time to 3.75 and repeated that dose this past Sunday again on 7/5. This week has been much worse than last week. Monday and Tuesday I couldn’t hardly stay awake or force myself some saltines. I did still eat, of course, but two very low cal days. Wednesday I was eating normally again with my 3 meals and daily 100+ grams of protein intake. Still very very fatigued. Today, Thursday, still sooo fatigued. Grateful to be eating normally again, but indeed concerned that I dosed up too high or that the crippling fatigue will last. I work (from home) for like an hour and then need a nap. I wake up feeling so dead tired. I didn’t even have this starting on 2.5?!?

Anyway, thanks for reading. So grateful for this sub.

Low Carb and PMOS

I’ve never sustainably achieved a low carb diet. My cravings have always been like an actual food monster resides inside of me and the only way to put it to sleep is, well, by eating a pizza. Yes—a pizza, not some pizza. Anyway, since beginning my glp-1 journey recently, I’ve managed to naturally achieve what seems to be considered a low carb approach to my diet. I’m not following anything strictly—I’m just counting macros for the sake of sustaining myself with nutrients and it is dancing around a low carb situation.

My question is, what does low carb mean for YOU? How are you determining this number of daily carb intake, and has it had any impact on your PMOS? Since my question is not specific to glp-1 itself, I’m posting here instead of the page dedicated to PMOS and glp. I’ve read and received a lot of mixed medical advice about this, so I’m checkin in with real PMOS folks!!!!!!

Leaving the Arizona heat. Where to go?!

31 F, no kids and single. Work remotely in tech, salary 100k/year. Trying desperately to figure out where I should move! For a few reasons, I won’t be considering WA or OR, so please no Seattle or Portland recommendations.

Live music is important to me. Doesn’t have to be every night 5 shows to pick from, but I spend a lot of time in small to medium music venues seeing anything from folk to metal. For this reason, I’ve considered Nashville, but I HATE. HATE. HATE. HUMIDITY. Anything super hot I despise!! Lol. Of course, I can get through a couple of uncomfortable months wherever I am. Of course that’s just part of it. But right now I feel uncomfortable half the year, not just summer months.

Nearby nature access is my other big point of interest. If I can be on a trail within 20-30 mins, that’d be wonderful!

Nice to have’s:
Decent dating scene 30’s and 40’s
Historic/old neighborhoods with interesting architecture (grew up in Detroit and appreciate a city that’s got a little character vs all brand new)
Selection of record and bookstores
Surrounding roadtrip opportunities

Golden dose remaining in 2.5 pen

How much of a dose do you suspect remains in the pen on the right? The pen on the left is obviously just a full pen, for comparison. I was suspecting roughly half a dose but wanted the opinion of others! I took one full 2.5 dose + what remained in the pen on the right on shot day. This was to titrate up slowly, and I’ve been on 2.5 a while. Now I know (thanks to y’all!) that I can count clicks and better understand. Last week I didn’t know this yet.

Smaller Jump than 2.5 to 5

I’m hoping this post is allowed here! I’m currently using brand Zep. This is just what I felt most comfortable about using to at least start with for a while. I am stalling with 2.5 (5 weeks) but absolutely don’t want to double up for the jump from 2.5 to 5 because I am still experiencing some side effects that I’m managing but nevertheless are present; slight nausea, constant burping, acid reflux. Those side effects are worth it to me, provided how well my blood sugar levels began to balance the first couple of weeks. I also haven’t lost weight since week 2.

I’m just curious if any of you have done this, how you did so. Right now I am using KwikPens, which obviously might be not the best route to do this with. Are you using vials? I’m unfamiliar with using those, so would need to transition over and learn.

Thanks in advance!

Dating as a Jew

I’m actively dating in my city, using the apps etc. I’m finding it necessary to disclose that I am Jewish early on—because unfortunately, some of the times that I haven’t, I’ve learned the hard way what they really think/have to say once we are already on a date. Of course, I’m also happy to disclose this as I’m proud to be Jewish anyhow.

The other thing I’m noticing is that often when I do disclose that I’m Jewish, I’m immediately questioned, like in the message above. I am a Zionist. That’s the truth. Daily, constantly I see the dating app bios read, “no zionists”. I guess maybe I’m just venting, or perhaps looking for some identification. I’m the only Jewish person of my girlfriends, so it can feel very isolating to be the only person having this specific type of experience….over, and over, and over. This example is actually the nicest by far of the bunch. Recently a man berated me at a dinner table about how “Jews are controlling the media and thus responsible for all of America’s propaganda”.

Love to all. Shabbat Shalom. 💜

Really want to stop going through Hers…

Apologies if this isn’t phrased in a way that is permitted. I am still a newer member to the thread! Basically, I just wanted to get started on my journey, and am doing so through Hers. However, that $150/mo member cost on top of paying out of pocket for the actual medicine is just not sustainable. How are you all receiving the script through LillyDirect otherwise? PCP? I don’t have a PCP, so maybe I have to just get one for this reason…I just don’t think we should have to pay for a $150/mo subscription when the platform isn’t benefiting me in any way. They are literally just sending in the script.

Has anyone switched from Zepbound to compounded trizepatide?

I’m paying out of pocket and the Zepbound Kwik Pens, while nice and convenient, are simply becoming far too pricey for me to afford monthly. Since this medication has proven very beneficial for me and my PMOS, I plan to remain on it.

Someone recommended pomegranate health to me and shared that they do offer just plain tirzepatide as well as an option.

Has anyone made this switch? If so, was there any difference at all in your experience with the med? I guess there wouldn’t be, but I like to ask!!!

Severe Panic Attacks

I have of course been fortunate enough to read previous panic attack posts in here, for which I’m eternally grateful. I just felt a need to share my own experience in the hopes of relating with others in real time, as it can feel very draining and isolating.

PMDD showed up for me two years ago. I had never had a panic attack once in my life, but anxiety and depression certainly. I began getting monthly panic attacks during luteal, so extreme that I’d call 911 thinking I was having a heart attack. I’ve since been prescribed diazepam as a rescue dose for the onset of one of these severe attacks. It brings relief, just take some time to kick in for me…

This time I had panic attacks not only in luteal but now just after my period ended and I’m getting ready or starting(??) ovulation. Like just going about my day and then all the sudden a fearful thought triggers it or a mild feeling of nausea or something and I’m in crisis panic attack mode. Shaking, sweating, adrenaline, nausea, dizziness. It is hell on earth. I become completely convinced that something is seriously wrong and that I’m going to just start passing out or vomiting or both.

I’m at a point where I don’t know how to prevent these during these susceptible times. I’m on an SNRI, I’ve got proponolol or diazepam at the ready, and this YouTube video therapist lady that I love. Also I’ve been in therapy forever. I eat clean, exercise, and generally live a healthy life, so those things haven’t made a lick of a difference.

I’m also on Loryna birth control. Forgot to include in the details. I take it continuously to avoid the severe dips in placebo dips and once every three months take a pill break to reset and have a full period.

City with music scene + nature access + mild-ishhhh summers

Hi! Who knows if my ideal city exists, but it’s worth a shot!

Single 31F who can relocate to anywhere working remotely in tech. I’m a huge fan of seeing live music in small or small-ish venues. I listen to mostly music from the 60s and 70s…but those folks are, well, dead now 😅 Doesn’t need to be one of the largest cities, but a city with some live music pulse, a record store or two, etc would be lovely! Also hoping for some good nature access. Used to live in Denver and the one bummer was that it would take so long to actually get into the woods some place. Easier nature access would be a big plus. Lastly, I HATE THE HEAT. Of course, everywhere has summer. I can live with a couple months of high temps. But I can’t get down with high humidity or hot half the year. 4 seasons would be ideal.
