Question on Passbook updation

Hi folks,

So basically i have raised a form 31 claim on 31st July which got approved on 18th August.

Today when I checked the passbook balance, I could see the claim amount was deducted from pf balance yesterday and the credit entry for this month contribution got updated today.

My concern is I haven't received my amount yet. When can i expect it since the passbook was debited as well yesterday

Edit: Received the amount at 4.30 pm today. Sharing the complete timeline of the status

Here's the complete timeline

  1. 1st claim raised on 5th July

  2. 1st claim approved on 21st July

  3. Passbook updated on 27th July

  4. Money credited on 28th july

  5. 2nd claim raised on 31st July

  6. Claim approved on 18th August

  7. Passbook debited on 18th August

  8. Amount credited on 19th August

For both of my claims, i have raised several escalation just to move it forward

  1. Epfigms

  2. CPGrams

  3. Pmopg

  4. Dpg

  5. RTI

  6. Twitter

Sharing so that it might help someone

It really feels frustating when people are getting their 2nd claim approved within 24hrs. And here after my first struggle with the 1st claim, i am still fighting for my 2nd claim.

Case vs caseless for base S26

Hi folks,

Need some suggestions from long time S series users.

I have recently switched to S series phone especially S26. I am a primary work from home user with little exposure to heavy outside use.

If i am outside i keep my phone inside my pocket without any other objects.

Need some suggestion if i can use my phone caseless or should i consider a simple transparent case.

Sorry for any grammatical errors

Switched from A56 to S26

Received 25000 for my A56 and again got 5000 for Galaxy upgrade program. This made the price of galaxy S26 come to 57000. At this price S26 was the best option. Hence upgraded the same.

Edit : Why i took this decision is that i came to know from my local retailer that prices of S26 series will increase by 8000 which will take them to 90,000 starting price.

EPFO the survival game

We are in a simulation where we have to survive the first wave, that is the wave of CLAIM SUBMITTED AT PORTAL. Next comes wave 2....UNDER PROCESS wave. It will definitely test your patience to the extreme. One you see CLAIM APPROVED you'll think your suffering has come to an end.....suddenly EPFO plays Reverse UNO. Money will never reach your bank account.

S26 or Pixel 10

Hi all,

So as the title suggests, i have been using mid range phones till now and never experienced a flagship phone. After some research i have narrowed it down to either Pixel 10 or Galaxy S26. Budget not more than 85k. My primary usage will focus on these points.

  1. Background app refresh

  2. Still photography

  3. Regular updates (monthly)

  4. Stable network reception (use 5G a lot)

  5. Light feel (tired of using bulky 6.5+ inch screen)

I am currently using galaxy A56. I am loving OneUI but at the same time love the vanilla android experience.

OneUI on my A56 causing aggressive ram management which in turn killing some background apps

At the same time i have heard pixel tensor processors are not good considering battery and network reception.

I do not play games at all so gaming experience doesn't matter at all.

Kindly help me decide which one to go for. Pixel 10 or S26. Also please let me know if I should wait for Pixel 11 as rumours suggest google to move to Mediatek Modem.

Finally Fixed: How a Government Portal Solved My Airtel Airfiber Nightmare 🚀

After nearly a decade of reliable service, my Airtel Airfiber connection started falling apart in April 2026. Speeds dropped to a painful 10 Mbps (down from 100 Mbps), and latency shot up to an unbelievable 2,015 ms — making everything from video calls to basic browsing nearly unusable.

Since fiber isn't available in my area, Airfiber has been my only option, and it had served me well since 2014. So this sudden degradation was frustrating to say the least.

The support runaround

I raised multiple tickets with Airtel, but every response was either generic or flat-out dismissive — "everything looks fine on our end." No resolution, no accountability.

The turning point: CPGRAMS

Out of options, I filed a complaint on the CPGRAMS portal (the Government of India's public grievance platform) on a Sunday. By Tuesday, I received a call from Airtel's escalation team. They acknowledged the issue and asked for 48 hours to investigate.

The fix

On Wednesday, another person from Airtel's broadband team called to say they had identified the root cause — the firmware on my outdoor unit was outdated and needed an update.

Once that update was pushed:

  • Latency dropped from 2,015 ms → 20 ms
  • Speeds jumped back to a full 100 Mbps (both upload and download)

The takeaway

If you've been going in circles with your ISP and getting nowhere, try filing a complaint on CPGRAMS (cpgrams.gov.in). It got me a response and a resolution within 72 hours after weeks of dead ends.

Sometimes you have to escalate to the right channel to get results. Hope this helps someone out there!
