He was talking about how it’s ok to get girls drunk in order to have sex with them, and how only chronically online feminists think it’s wrong. All upvoted while saying ‘let me take you out for a drink sometime’ Reddit is incredibly misogynistic

Reddit leans misogynistic

Even in r/news of sexual assault reports men will be cracking sexual jokes about the victim and it will have tons of support, meanwhile if you say ‘this isn’t funny, it’s deeply misogynistic and gross’ you’ll be downvoted heavily. The culture hasn‘t changed as much as people who hate ‘woke’ believe.

DAE else forget what their race, gender, or general outwardly identity is while in deep conversation?

I’ll just be vibing with my work friends and we enter this synergy zone where we’re all just souls bonding, then someone will say something like ‘Haha, but on that group trip we all wanna take to the tropics, you won’t even look like you got a tan!‘

Then you’re like oh right, I’m… not white, I’m brown… I’m other…. Not refering to a micro aggression or whatever just legit ‘oh yeah I am different, we are different‘ brain reminder that could’ve even come from someone of the same race casually saying ‘we’ or ‘us.’ Like we ascended during the conversation and then with that one sentence we descending back down to earth where I realized that we all have assigned races and categories and I temporarily forgot my own.

Also happens with gender but less often since men can’t help but remind you you‘re a woman the way they look at you and talk to you sometimes, but if you have common interests you could get lost on a topic. Then you mention how you main Princess Peach and they’re like ‘omg what a girl answer‘ and I’m like ‘oh yeah, I guess I am a girl…’ I kinda forgot you held any prejudices or preconceptions of me bro, I thought I was like my own person or something.

These aren’t bad convos and usually strengthens whatever connection the relationship has as like ‘we get along despite our differences,’ but idk it’s just weird it’s almost like a moment of an escaping reality is interrupted with mentions like that.

Just wondering if anyone else forgets who or what they are sometimes or if I have a real bad dissociation problem.

I was harassed by some white teenagers and they shouted “Kobe!” and “Curry” at me when they drove by, were they being racist or is this the way kids dunk on people?

I’m half black looking and a little inexperienced with the nuances of what this could mean for white people. I know these are basketball players, and I asked this in r/ask, but someone suggested it I post in here to get less dismissal. Were these racist remarks? There was a girl in their group so I don’t think they were being sexist or something… Just regular harassing? They seemed like they might be younger than me so maybe I don’t understand due to my age. They drove by twice to do this.

Just wondering what it means really, I can brush off harassment if I know what it was all about. Someone called me Pajeet earlier that same day, so I’m used to discovering new slurs and mean words via google lol

I genuinely think most people are cruel

I run into nice people, I know that they exist, but I think most people actually enjoy being mean and sadistic, even self-righteous people simply have their own reason for partaking in the same behavior. I think most people like being mean to feel above others.

My Uber driver was ashamed of her artsy music

She was playing a lot of pop r&b and basic rap for the majority of the ride. after which a binaural echoey Lorde-esque song came on with a lot of unique metaphors for heartbreak. You could tell it was more experimental than the other songs and maybe was a little Yoko Ono meet R&B (bad description, but sounded good). She turned it off and flicked it back to ‘my bitch bad’ generic pop rap music until I asked about the previous song to which she finally revealed her intelligence and deep love for experimental music and geeked out over the artist.

Nerds are still ashamed of showing people what makes them interesting out of fear of being judged. The hipster era didn‘t do much to change being perceived as being ‘unique’ as a bad thing. I was literally in her car who cares of if I didn’t like the one song.

This is just a snark sub for snarking on normies and well-adjusted people who can get dates and don’t overanalyze social interaction

I’ve seen the light, and I wouldn’t have been able to without a misogynist telling me I belong on a snark sub as an annoying woman, shout out to you

People who insist on calling you erractic or mad for writing an ‘essay’ as a response

Yes, I was just called this recently. The only reason I’m pointing it out is because I could legit feel nothing on the other side of the screen and they will insist I’m so mad and must feel like a loser because I typed a paragraph of information. The literacy rates are down because more than 4 sentences is considered crashing out now and there’s no other reason for providing more context to your opinion about something of little consequence, because you must ‘care soooooo much bro lmao embarassing, aren’t you embarassed?’ For what… explaining.

It’s mostly tends to be men with bad vibes. Just seems kind of like they‘re masturbating to our interaction. Idk, it‘s underneath a movie thread of a movie I rated a 6/10 on letterbox, literally didn’t care at all, but they‘re insisting I got powned and am now crashing out bc no one agrees with me. Lots of skull emoji energy, just seems strange.

People Aggressive About New Information

“I can’t tell my left from my right” “That’s not what Dyslexia is“ - I am Dyslexic

“Two Spirit is different from claiming to be a woman” “That’s not what indigenous people believe” - I am Indigenous

“I am a poc I wasn’t being racist by pointing out the fact thinness has been associated with being white“ “That’s clearly not what you meant“

“_____ trait in guys is unattractive” “No woman would actually care” - I am a woman

People are so resistant to a very small amount of contradictory information.

All this talking about emasculation has got me thinking about the female equivalent

There’s obviously no word for it bc of misogyny, but I’ve definitely felt it before. I feel complete defeminized when the beautician cuts off way too many inches of hair. Whenever I’m accused of not being dainty (not that I want to actually be dainty, just perception-wise).

I try to do my best for my mental health. I know what narcissistic abuse looks like now, my own mood swings, and where my behavior and the behavior of those around me might stem from. My father has learned to weaponized this in the most basic “no, you” fashion. I told him he never takes my side even when I’m being obviously mistreated like always (situation at work) and he snapped, telling me I am abusive for bringing up the past and how bad he was at being there for me as a parent. Only an abusive people bring up “mean” things to say over and over again.

I pointed out how stupid this was as he was implying a victim of anything is being negative and miserable for bringing up anything bad that happened if it’s in the past. I said “so victims that press charges are abusive.” This is when the flood gates of the wild insults of anything they can think of to hurt you start, even brought up how feeling suicidal is my fault. I did cry. I miss the days of my mom being alive so I didn’t have to suffer verbal abuse all alone and when I did bring up past abuse, I wasn’t fully shut down (only partially).

Anyways, if I am a self-centered abuser, which I put my whole soul into trying not to be. I’m only that way bc I was raised by one. The accusation of being the abuser is just especially triggering.
