What could go wrong if I have 5 average business?

So my idea is to open a few business
A bike shop, face painting, puppet shows for kids, selling paintings and a small portable icecream shop (or in the winter I would have winter stuff)

So like I wouldn’t need to be THE BEST in one thing to get enough costumers to pay bills I just need to be average and get a few clients in each department

If one fails, I just take more customers in the other ones, if one blows up I give it more attention

I would mostly do it like this because I like doing all this stuff and cant pick up one just yet. But I would do it slowly. Right now I am just preparing my bike shop and had my first customers who saw my add that Im looking for bicycles to practice fixing up

I cant really see a problem with doing something like that but there sure is some stuff to be careful about?

What do you think?

Am I getting permenant nerve damage in my leg?

F(27), 175cm, 61kg, no smoking, no drinking,
Long fusion at the age of 13 (th5-L4) due to double scoliosis, marfan syndrom (I take Borez 5mg, Lorista 50mg for the heart)

Im experiencig siastica from the age of 14. Fixed it by regulary working out in 2023. Pain is due to cyst pressing on my nerve L5 to the right and narrowing of the spinal cannal.
I stoped working out and it came back in 2025 but in a much worse way. I got additional pain - burning, dull ache, tightnes. I stoped going to work (Im home for 5 months now). I did 4 rounds of antiinflamatory drugs (Nalgesin 550mg) with some exercises and physical therapy. After a while the drug did its thing and it got better. But after I stoped taking it, the nerve would be iratated again in a few days…

Recently I stoped with the drug again. Fine for two days. Then it came back. First it was just insane tightnes in my back, dull pain and electricity.
I started to do gentle activation exercises and walking a bit.

On 23.6.26 my whole bottom of my right foot went numb, after that my foot was super sensitive (it feels as if I am walking on glass) and its only getting worse. Its spreading higher and now bothers me during the night - before if my leg was still and not touching the ground I didnt feel it as much.

Why did this happen and will I eventualy stop feeling my leg all together?

Thank you for help

Problems with long spinal fusion of 15 years

F(28)
Fusion Th5-L4 due to duble scoliosis

A year after surgery I started experiencing siastica every second day. At the age of 23-25 I started to workout and that helped a lot with the pain. I worked in a restaurant from the age of 27-28 (I know the worst idea ever with a back like that)
Now I am experiencing pain again but it is much stronger and doesnt seems to want to go away (I am back into working out with a specialist and doing therapy) but on a sick leave for four months

This got me thinking - is it only gonna get worse? I have a bit of the uper back and lover back still moveable but this parts work extra hard and are getting used up a lot faster

Do you have any problems like that?
And is anybody here having even longer spinal fusion?

My grandma is chocking every single night

I’ve been living with her for half a year now. I live in the top apartment and she is in the bottom one.
Every single night I hear her coughing and choking and walking around and every single night I check if she is okay.

Today I went down to sleep with her in case she stops breating or smth cus she had a bad episode.

I am not looking for medical advice, we will talk to the doctor once again but I dont think they can do any help.

I know that I will be the one to find her dead one day. And the last days I will probably be the one watching over her. And I find that thought very scary and mentaly chalenging.

Additional info: F27, grandma has a son and a daughter (my mom) and one more grandkid (my sister). Before all of this, the burden was on my mom and now it is on me. The son help with nothing and has no idea how much work there is with grandma.

Did anyone had to deal with something similar? With knowing you will probably be the one finding your grandma silent and cold?

Remember that your body also remember the good stuff not just the bad

Took me one year to recover the first time. Took me half a year the second time even though it was twice as bad. AND I WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN.

My body is amazing, its not the enemy just because it hurts. It also remember the work you put in and protect and recover and I support it the best I can to keep it working for as long as possible.

Keep your heads up and keep fighting! Even the smallest thinks you do help you although you might not feel it right away 🫶

three months of backpain recovery documented

THERE IS A SHORT 'WHAT HELPED THE MOST IN THE FIRST STAGE OF HEALING' AT THE END, if you arent in the mood to read :)

Foreword: I had an operation on my back due to scoliosis when I was 14. The pain started when I was 15 - siastica down my right leg every second day. Had it until I was 25 (''there is nothing we can do'' was said to me). At 25 I started working out with a specialist...we stared very slow but after a year my pain was minimal. Then I stoped, went to work as a waitress. After a year of work, with pain here and there, I got HIT HARD. It was like the pain I knew all these years upgraded a bunch + hip pain. I went on sick leave and started my healing proces.

11.2-20.2 - in agony 24/7, heating pads, painkillers (two per day for five days).

21.2-28.2 - pain at night and in the morning but at day minimal. I found that if I sleep on my stomach I dont get the pain (worked like two times, this was also the time I started reading about somastic pain so I was sure I am thinking too much about it and that thats the reason I am in pain).

Here I was maniac: I was doing inner healing, fixing my posture, thinking about how I walk, nerve flosing, streching, trying not to think about my pain, telling my body that these signals are wrongly read...It was crazy.

1.3-4.3 - had a flare up, went back on painkillers (two per day for 7 days)

5.3-12.3 - night and morning pain, at day is minimal.

on 12.3 I notice that the pain in my hip is kindof gone (very happy day, gave me hope)

13.3-18.3 - the pain was there and it was anoying. At this point I feel very isolated and frustrated. just laying around. I am doing some exercises (side hold, plank, dead bug,...)

19.3-21.3 - had three pain free day (

22.3-23.3 - a bit of a flare up (probably from helping my grandma in the garden or carrining stuff for her)

24.3-25.3 - felt like my body is new

26.3-29.3 - pain is there and its anoying it comes in the morning and stays until like three (I spend that pain time laying in bed)

29.3 - flare up AT NIGHT. agony. I just waited until the morning came. started taking painkillers (2 per day for 10 days)

30.3-8.4 - there was a mix of good and bad days. On good days I did too much and then I had to rest the next day, then because I rested I would get a good day with less pain day...etc. (6.4 I went to work for 4 hours, to see where I am at and to help cus they were overbooked in the restaurant)

9.4-15.4 - good and bad days but bad days were slowly disapiring

16.4-17.4 - good day, no pain

18.4 - night pain (stressing about work maybe)

19.4 - (I worked for 7 hours), was in pain the first three hours

20.4 - huge flare up the whole day

21.4 - mix pain

22.4-7.5 - took painkillers (17 days, from high dose + one additional for burning pain, then I lowered it through time). I rested, no bending the back, only slow slow walking, no lifting no nothing...did very gentel exercises (like breating and slowly squizing your abdomal muscles) and as soon as I felt any discomfort I stoped.

I had many pushbacks, had to start my progres from the begining - if I progress to 1km, If I had more pain I went back to 0.5km

TODAY: I still fell some discomfort but I am able to do more. Now I can do a walk + hanging out with friends or I can like stand (with siting in between) for two hours without geting a flare up OR if there is a flare up, it goes away much faster.

WHAT HELPED THE MOST: REST + PAINKILLERS (flare up stage)

- taking painkillers regulary and for a longer period. When the flare up is this bad 5-10 days not gonna cut it. take then regulary (not just here and there)

-dont overthink it. first five days just walk to the bathrom or to the kitchen. then do the 100m walk outside for the next five days...walk slowly and each day add a few steps...SLOWLY build back your tolerance.

- after you can manage a normal pace, short walk. add a bit of exercises - AGAIN - VERY EASY ONES - like laying on your back - breath in and while you breath out squize your muscles around the waist.

-cold ice pack for 15min/3times per day

- DRINK a lot of water

We are gonna get through this!

Flare up, adapt, flare up, adapt, flare up, adapt…
You have knowledge you have experiences you did it once you can do it again and again and again and again and for as long as it takes.
One step back, two steps forward.

Like a few meters too long on a walk or a bend too much and I am right at the begining. My body can take so little of the normal movement that its insane.

I will try to read through all of the Back mechanic tomorrow to see what the hell am I doing wrong with my recovery proces.

I thought five times a charm, but no, I guess I am still doing too much too soon.

Best regards
Your dainty spine

Im just gonna start doing random shit like maybe if I stand on one leg while drinking water with my right hand and wearing a purpule shirt will do something…

Anyway

Wishing you all fighters an easy day and that your vodo doll gets some rest today aswell!

Just wanted to ask if this is normal. I had siastica since 2014 on and off. But it usually faded away in a week or so. But this time it has been going for months without a clear break. And whats new is the burning sensation down my right leg especially on the bottom of my foot. It feels as if I was standing on fire.

X-ray came back “normal” and I am still waiting for the MR result

Has anybody had the same experience or is experiencing the same burning sensation?

Thank you in advance
