I’m so tired of being gluten free and not even knowing if it’s doing anything for my thyroid

It’s been over 2 years of being gluten free and I’m tired of it, especially now that I figured out dairy is actually causing me GI problems and having to avoid it 😭

Should I just give up and eat gluten again?!

The only symptom I may have gotten from gluten was a superrr mild dermatitis herpetiformis rash on my hands (literally talking like 1-2 itchy tiny bumps on the back of my hand), but it wasn’t consistent enough to really tell if it was gluten related.

How am I supposed to know if it’s even helping my thyroid?!

Finally found what works for me!

FYI: early 30s with pale, dry skin.

I’ve been searching for my “perfect” foundation and blush for over a year. I got trapped in the overconsumption of it all trying to find my perfect products, but honestly it wasn’t worth all the time and money I wasted.

Now I’m focusing on mostly older products (“older” = launched years ago and not new trendy products) that are tried & true’s, and sticking with what works and not how “perfect” it is.

Although, spot correcting with a green color corrector and a concealer looks better than any foundation or skin tint I’ve tried so far! And I have over 20 free foundation sample pots from Sephora lol. I won’t lie it did take me awhile to figure out how to get this technique of spot correcting to work for my skin because I was not sold the first few times I tried it. I was so used to foundations.

Step 1: Givenchy Prisme Skin-Caring Corrector in Green with my Sarah Creal complexion brush. Only put this where I’m red (cheeks, chin, nose, broken blood vessels).

Step 2: NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Affogato with my BK Beauty 101 brush. Mostly use a tapping motion to not pull up any dry skin flakes or move anything underneath.

Step 3: Clinique Cheek Pop powder blush in Melon Pop with the large side of my Makeup by Mario F4 brush. Sometimes I will go in with my NUDESTIX Nudies Blush Stick in Bare Back first before the powder blush with the smaller side of the Mario brush to make the blush last longer.

Steps 4/5: Burt’s Bees tinted lip balm in Rose and Benefit 24-Hour Brow Setter.

Step 6 (optional): Most of the time I’ll use brown mascara, I just didn’t today for a fresher look. My favorite is L’Oréal Panorama in Brown Leather.

If anyone is interested in the skincare underneath:
- Face wash: La Roche Posay Lipikar AP+ Gentle Foaming Moisturizing Wash
- Prequel Half & Half Peptides + Ceramides Fluid Moisturizer
- EltaMD UV Skin Recovery Red Color Correcting Face Sunscreen SPF 50 (it’s a mineral sunscreen that’s tinted green and does not leave a white cast on my pale skin)

I have dry skin and this does it for me. If I’m extra dry, I’ll also put on Avène Tolérance Control Soothing Skin Recovery Balm.

I tried to put in as much information as I could, but let me know if you have any questions :)

Question for the CPAP & OuraRing users

I’ve been using my Oura ring for about couple years now and just started wearing a CPAP a couple months ago.

I’ve noticed that my breathing is now “steady” every night when it wasn’t before BUT I’ve also noticed that my average oxygen saturation has oddly dipped. Instead of it being the usual 95-97% it’s now always 94% and last night it was 93% (!!!).

I would assume I’d be getting more oxygen now not less so like wth?!

Anyone else experience this?

Nasal polyp, mucus, or normal nasal passage?

My cat has been experiencing chronic URIs for 3 years now. She was getting them every 3-6 month, then every 3-4 months, now it’s every other month. She’s been to numerous vets, but never a specialist. She’s sick again right now and a vet appointment tomorrow with a new vet. Although I’m thinking of taking her for a CT scan soon even if they don’t recommend it to rule out polyps.

I got curious and looked up her nose with my flash on and saw this. I’m not a vet so I don’t know what the white part in her nose is. It’s on both sides but appears bigger on the side in the video.

Poster age: 30s
Country: USA
Vet info: vet appointment tomorrow
Main issue: chronic URIs for 3 years with no answers from multiple vets
Cat age: 12
Cat sex: female / spayed
Financial situation: can afford vet care but will have to put anything major ($4k+) on a credit card

I posted a screenshot of it in the comments

I’ve spent $2k at Sephora in the last 12 months and it’s all starting to look the same.

Yesterday I made the mistake of searching “Sephora” on my credit card app for the last 12 months and was shocked to see that it added up to almost $2k…

I keep trying to find my makeup “holy grails” so I can just keep those specific products and get rid of the rest, but it’s starting to feel like it all looks the same once it’s on my face and I’m wasting my time and money.

Anyone else feel like we just keep buying the same goop over and over again?

I will cycle through either a (dairy free) protein smoothie for breakfast or a bowl of (dairy free) oatmeal. I keep noticing that my acid reflux gets soo much better when I eat oatmeal in the morning.

I’m pretty sure it’s not the smoothie causing it because when I eat oatmeal for breakfast, I’ll still have my smoothie in the middle of the day.

Is this just a coincidence or is there something to it?!

I tried reverse image searching it but got nothing. Tried clicking on it - no info. Tried regular googling - nothing.

What does it mean?!

I literally cannot find a blush that doesn’t look terrible on me!

For reference I’m very fair (think NARS Chantilly kind of fair) and I think I’m a cool neutral.

Since berry or pink isn’t working for me, I’m thinking I should try a cool brownish pink?

The best luck I’ve had was the Salt New York x Hannah Louise Poston blushes. Unfortunately, I strongly dislike cream blushes in a pan because they get gross so quickly and you can’t wipe them! I prefer a cream in a stick or a powder blush.

Any recommendations for me to look into?

Right now I’m using Merit Bespoke but that kind of gives rosacea a bit too lol

EDIT: I have mild rosacea - didn’t mean to offend anyone! I just mean it looks really red and bright after I put blush over my foundation
