First time sewing bust darts

I made this top using the sadie top pattern.

I’d still consider myself beginner-intermediate at sweing, so I’m pretty proud of how it turned out. I absolutely love this cotton fabric. The colors and pattern are so fun 💜

I’m still not fully happy with my gathers (gathers are difficult 😭), but overall I really love the final result. One thing I especially appreciated about the pattern was the option to add hook and eye tape for a more modest fit. Before adding it, there was a huge gap at the center bodice and I thought I had made the top too small. But once I added the hooks, the fit improved SO much. I never would’ve thought such a small detail could make that big of a difference!

I just noticed I started new collection of cats

I like collecting cat themed things like figurines, ceramics, and plushies. I especially collect Mofusand kitties. During my recent trip to Japan, I bought a few other random cat figures I found at an onsen town and a flower park because I thought they were cute.

When I got home and started placing them next to my other figures, I realized they were actually the same cat character… and I already even had a little wedding couple version of them too lol

So I guess I accidentally started collecting these cats as well without even realizing it.

I just wanted to tell someone lol

If this is AI, do you have suggestions for a similar pattern I could buy?

Fabric haul from Japan

I saved up to be able to purchase all these. I filled up a carry on suitcase. Some of of these fabric will be gifted to my mother in law. This does not include the notions I bought like scissors and zippers

I didn’t go with a plan and just bought what I liked. I did buy more than 3 meters for the demin and other fabric I thought would be nice for pants or a dress. The blueberry prints, I want to turn into a quilted jacket

Other fabric might be turned into shirts for my husband. I believe i spent about $400-$500
