Looking for playtesters for my indie historical RTS
Standard Of Iron - Official Demo Trailer

Hey everyone!
I’ve been working on a historical real-time strategy game called Standard of Iron, set during the Second Punic War, and I’ve just reached a milestone I’m pretty excited about: v0.1.0 is available as the first downloadable release.
I’m now looking for a few people who’d be willing to actually play it and tell me what they think.
The game is focused on large-scale battles between Rome and Carthage, with formations, siege combat, resource gathering, army management, and a campaign following battles from the Rhône and the Alps through Cannae and eventually Zama. There’s also a first-person commander mode if you want to get closer to the battle instead of always watching from above.
It’s still very much an early version, so I’m not looking for people to tell me everything is polished. Quite the opposite 😄
I’d really appreciate feedback on things like:
Is the game fun / does it have potential?
Are the controls and UI understandable?
What feels confusing or frustrating?
How does performance feel on your machine?
Did you run into crashes, graphical glitches, or other bugs?
What would you personally want to see improved next?
You don’t need to compile anything. v0.1.0 has downloadable builds for:
Linux
Windows
macOS
The game is free and open source, and you can grab the release here:

Even if you only have time to play for 15–30 minutes, that feedback would genuinely be useful. When you work on something for a long time, you inevitably learn how everything works and stop noticing the things that might be completely unclear to a new player.
So I’d love to get some fresh eyes on it.
If you try it, please let me know what platform/hardware you played on and what your experience was
Thanks for taking a look! ❤️
