Tips from someone who got a 5

  1. Go over all the FRQs, and make sure you know how to do them
    - The FRQs are always in the same format/mostly the same (especially FRQ #3), look at FRQs from previous exams and AP Classroom to get a feel for all the variations there are out there
    - Make sure you understand the way graders want you to word things and look at the answer key to make sure you mention all the key words they are looking for

  2. Writing down notes on your scratch paper
    - At the beginning of the exam I wrote down all the things I would need for the test that I could remember: unit circle, pythagorean identities, periods, polar/rectangular conversions, parent function graphs and asymptotes, and other formulas
-When you come across an MCQ with wording helpful for an FRQ, write that down!! (For example, during my MCQ I saw a question that asked why a function was inverse, the answer gave the correct wording college board is looking for when answering an FRQ. I was able to use this exact wording on an FRQ question and got it right because it was worded in the way graders want).

  3. Make sure you understand Desmos!!
    - Understand how to use regression, as you are then able to find formulas for equations that have transformations on them. For example, a(b)^(x-1) instead of a(b)^(x)
    - Make sure you know how to find values for x and y when given a function

Let me know if you have any questions!

I know that parrots shouldn’t have happy huts/enclosed spaces because of hormones, but is it the same for doves? I have a cardboard box filled upside down with 2 holes for mine so I’m wondering if I should remove it. Thankss

Does anyone have a guide/tips for each FRQ? I know for AP Pre calc all FRQs are typically the same, but with different graphs, etc. Thanks!
