Thai restaurant peanut sauce

This isn’t a request for a specific location, just Thai restaurants in general.

Every time I have peanut sauce/satay sauce from a Thai restaurant, I love it so much. Every restaurant makes it differently, but I love them all. I’ve tried several different “Thai peanut sauce” recipes, but none of them taste anything like the stuff from restaurants. I would love to be able to make some at home!

Chicken tenders tasting great but breading is meh

I need help from the chicken tender experts because I feel like I’m missing something. 😂

How do you get those beautiful golden-brown, crispy-but-not-hard chicken tenders that you see online, where the breading looks flaky and flavorful, but the inside is still super juicy and tender?

I’ve been experimenting with mine, and sometimes the breading comes out hard. Other times it looks nicely browned, but the breading itself still tastes like flour, even though I seasoned it.

The chicken underneath has flavor because I marinate it, but the actual breading just doesn’t have that same delicious flavor.

And even when I think I’m frying at the right temperature, I still end up with chicken that is brown, but not that pretty, appetizing golden color I’m trying to achieve.

I’m not necessarily looking for a specific recipe. I’m more interested in the technique and little secrets that make a huge difference.

I’ve watched so many videos and tried different things, but mine still doesn’t look or taste like the tenders I’m trying to recreate. 😭

If you make really good chicken tenders, please share your secrets. I’m ready to take notes. 😂

Mickey D's Hi-C Orange Lavaburst?

There are a bunch of sweet tea recipes floating around, but I found myself lost a while back when they stop serving the Hi-C orange (Lavaburst, not the carbonated orange soda), and when they brought it back, I felt like a kid again! Since I go there less these days, is there a recipe floating around to duplicate that drink in bulk? Like an orange concentrate or something that's on par for large quantites? Thanks in advance.

Does anyone have the recipe to Folk’s Southern Kitchen peach muffins?

I have been hunting for this recipe for years, especially since moving out of Atlanta and finding out they are no longer in business. I would buy the batter out of the tubs they would sell. I found a copycat recipe on Pinterest, but it doesn’t taste the same.

I’ve posted in a recipe thread, but I feel I may have better luck posting in this one. Any help would be appreciated!

Pic is attached of the muffins!

Potbelly Sandwich Works Mustard

Anyone know of a comparable store bought mustard? Potbelly's has a great brown-ish deli-ish mustard and I haven't been able to find a dupe. Around COVID times, you used to be able to buy a little bin of it online, but not anymore.

I love Creamy Sriracha sauce from Subway. Where can I get it or an alternative?

Seriously, I'm obsessed with it.

I almost exclusively go to subway due to the sauce lol.

* is there any grocery store alternative thats very similar to the sauce? Because subway doesn't sell it, right?

If I could use that same sauce at home, id be happy cowboy.

Launching my British Take-Away seasonings!

Alright Brits in the USA! Bit of a shameless plug here but here it goes!

I’m originally from Manchester and now live in Arizona, and I’ve just launched a little spice company called Captain’s Spice Co.

The first seasoning is basically my take on that proper British Chinese takeaway salt & pepper flavour that I’ve missed since moving over here. Think salt & pepper chips, wings, ribs, chicken, shrimp etc.

I’ve spent ages messing around with the recipe and forcing friends and family to taste test about 400 versions of it but it’s finally bottled and ready to go.

It’s made and packed here in Arizona and I can ship anywhere in the US.

If anyone fancies giving it a try I have it listed on ebay and our online store will be up and running on Friday!

Would genuinely love to hear what other Brits think of it, especially if you’re also someone who misses a decent Chinese takeaway over here 😂🇬🇧🇺🇸

[Homemade] Gildas with boquerones en vinagre — classic Basque pintxo

Green olives, pickled guindillas and boquerones en vinagre on a skewer.
Fresh, salty, tangy and slightly spicy — ridiculously simple and perfect with a cold beer or vermouth.
The classic Gilda is usually made with anchovy, but this version uses vinegar-marinated white anchovies (boquerones) instead, which makes it a bit fresher and more acidic.
And the best part: the chips soaking up the briny, vinegary juices from the Gildas are absolutely unreal.

"Gimme a Diablo Sandwich and a Dr. Pepper and make it fast.."

But really what was the original Diablo Sandwich on set? Pork or beef? I've seen it made different ways.

Kraft Caesar w/ Parmesan Vinaigrette Recipe

This dressing was my all time favorite growing up. Unfortunately, they no longer sell it in any store near me, and I cannot find it anywhere online that would ship it to me for not an outrageous price. Does anyone know the recipe? I have been unable to recreate it myself. Thank you all!

El Monterey Signature Steak and Cheese frozen burritos - cheese sauce

Does anyone know how the cheese sauce in the El Monterey steak and cheese burritos is made? It is a rather thin sauce. Slightly stretchy like real melted cheese would be, but very runny.

I am on a DIY frozen burrito kick and I want to replicate this cheese goo at home.

Corndog 7's Cheese on a Stick.

So I'm assuming we can just buy the Mix and fry up whatever cheese we want ? Or is there a specific Cheese they used?
