Have you planned your funeral or even thought about it?

I am 55 and haven't really thought about it. Happy to be cremated, but don't want anything formal at all. For whatever reason it does not bother me at all.

Kindle app brightness

Just bought the 70 pro and am using the screen dimmer so to manage lowering the brightness, but the Kindle app overrides it. Anyone managed to get around this?

Admin appointments?

These admin appointments I keep getting referring to appointments I know nothing about. What are they for? To ‘manage’ the waiting list?

One more to go

Just received the Dynamic in the middle. Guess I need a vintage Speedy to complete the variety.

It’s not a nice place is it

They really do see a watch as a badge of honour, or a car, house, clothes whatever. Sooooo shallow.

Slow continuous progression

Have had ME symptoms since August 2024, diagnosed October 2025 and awaiting ME specialist appointment (am in UK).

I have been pacing and have realised that I am in a slow steady decline. I work 5 hours a day from home, not too cognitive as my employer change my role a bit to help, and apart from that I am doing very little. I have to sleep each afternoon for an hour or two, have a shower and that’s it really.

I try to go for a coffee with my wife each weekend, just to do something, but I realised that I have reached the point where I am doing very little aside from working. I could do dog walks a bit last year, go out a couple of times a week (nothing strenuous) and am amazed at how easily it creeps up on you.

My symptoms are slightly worse than, for example, October, but I’m doing much less.

I’m aware of how unpredictable ME is and how we never have control over it, but has anyone else here gone through a slow decline and if so, did anything stop it for you? I’m loathe to give up work for the massive financial impact and it’s all I have left that makes me feel like I’m contributing.

Can’t he just watch TV normally?

Bailey now does this 75% of the time when he is relaxing.

Have we got the wrong week?

This may only be a UK problem, but it’s Mental Health awareness week here this week. Seen emails from my employer, banner on my employers home page, a segment on the news just now and it’s even printed by the Royal Mail on a letter my son just received.

Feels like ME/CFS week cannot compete in the UK😕

My wife had an appointment with her GP to discuss menopause and he put her forward for a TDS scan. This was done, she chased for the result, no further discussion, just this message back.

Had Reform knock on the door, a leaflet from Reform addressed to us by name and two separate more flyers from Reform. Nothing at all from any of the other parties, currently a Labour seat taken from Tories last time.

Doesn’t matter to me because I’m quite political so know where my vote is going, it’s not going to the only party seemingly making an electoral effort in my area.

My Seamaster is 26 years old, it keeps time to approx 2 seconds out per day and is thinner and lighter than the new version.

Any of you not upgrading because you believe the older version to be better in key areas? And, what would I gain by buying a new one (the white dial is tempting me I must say).

And we ended up getting him two rescue Cavapoos because they were inseparable. Now all three of them are.
