Why it is expensive - Amplifier

I was looking at this and find it very expensive. I am curious from electronics hardware perspective. what makes this amplifier so expensive? is it because their intellectual property or they really use something very expensive to build this. How much it would actually cost if you’re building it yourself (hypothetical)

Book suggestion - Futuristic vehicles or machines

I am looking for some suggestion on how to get started with drawing concept art especially related to machines / robots / cars. I am also planning to get some books done by other artists. Where should I look at it? is there any popular website where I can see Sketchbooks or 3D Concept art books .

I like the works for Ash Thorp (https://www.instagram.com/ashthorp). So you get some idea what I want to achieve.

Also some guidelines on how did you start ? what makes you interested in this. Also do you draw first and make the model later ?

Thanks in advance

Can I get justice without spending money - Part 2

So two months ago I posted this, and a few of you recommended filing an RTI. After 2 months, I received a response to my RTI today, with a backdated letter to comply with the RTI Act. The date on the letter is 6 July, but it was posted on 30 July. The most interesting part is that the actual response is incomplete (I asked 8 questions and they answered 7). Also, the document is signed by the same person I am alleging is responsible for the delay in the entire process.

After filing the RTI, they sent me a response to my original complaint. Again, it is backdated (a 2-month delay between the letter date and the post date), and it's also a photocopy .

What a dance

TL;DR: Filed an RTI 2 months ago about a stalled complaint. Got a response today that's backdated (letter dated 6 July, posted 30 July)

Planning to buy a 3d printer under 1.5 lac

I am new to 3d printing and looking for suggestions. I don’t know much about materials and sizes. People who owns 3d printer what all I should be aware of.

Also where is the best place to buy it online.

Note: I can extend my budget little more if significant better models exist in that range 1.5-2 lac

An example of how you can ruin aesthetics

This is not a big light (see 2nd pic) and the advertisement they have put up here is simply “unsahicable”. 4 lac for this light, Hm, Okay I get it but they could have avoided this ad (that is also from all 4 sides 🙄)

Is it important to have a distinct illustration style to succeed as an illustrator?

I am an artist and designer, I can make good illustrations but I mostly spent my career in UX and Graphic design (currently UX). I am thinking about switching my career. I am kind of bored after knowing all the AI advancement. most of my work is enterprise UX and significant part of it can be now automated. I am not worried about my Job or future. I can still do well here and I am valued where I work. However, I am bored of doing it and I am not feeling excited when my project manager comes with his own design. Everybody can make decent designs now. It is a reality and most of the companies can go with that especially in the field of UX where functionality wins more than visual style.

While I make decent illustrations, I don’t have a significant style that stands out. what you guys think ? is there any future for being an illustrator.

Posting this here because r/bmwce02 is locked now and cannot post anything there.

If anybody knows what happened to the sub or any alternative sub for CE02 owners, please comment.

Can I get justice without spending money - My issue with town planning department

TLDR: My neighbour is building too close to our compound wall (KMBR violation), the apartment association isn’t helping, and the municipality overseer sat on my complaint for months and now seems to be burying the case as a “boundary dispute.” I want to escalate without going to court.

So I am living in an apartment in Kochi and a neighbour of mine is building a structure without enough setback. it is very close to our compound wall and definitely not a 3 cent plot to get a setback concession. I know enough KMBR to say this building is breaking some rules.

Since some of the people in my apartment association are friends with the neighbour, they are not taking any action or filing a complaint. Due to that, I had to file my own complaint.

It looks like the overseer in the town planning department knew the building has violations but is trying to settle it quietly. The neighbour is also claiming that it is their compound wall. This overseer only started working on it after I complained on CMwithMe. he sat on my file for 2 months doing nothing. Before that, whenever I asked him he would say “I’ll check today,” and one month went by just like that. Now he has come up with some report, and I got to know that the municipality is trying to squash my case by classifying it as “Athirthi tharkkam” (boundary dispute). So far I have not received any official notification from them, and it feels like they are intentionally delaying their verdict so that the respondent can finish his construction while I stay waiting for a response.

I gave my complaint 4 months ago and have received no official report from them. It looks like a bribe is involved, but I don’t have any proof. How should I go about this? I don’t want to go to court and spend money on it.

How to check if you have used your Lounge voucher (Tata Neu HDFC)

So I have this situation. I regularly get vouchers since I meet criteria. However, since the vouchers are getting by emails and sms, I don’t have the collected vouchers saved somewhere in an organised way. When I go to lounge, I give a voucher which I find first. so there are chances that I have unused vouchers and I don’t find a way to know if I have used them or not. because you don’t get any sms about voucher usage status. Anybody know how to ?

Rapido Cabs are cheaper than Uber, but the cancellation problem wasn’t something Kochi had with Uber. And the tip feature feels like a step backward. it’s going to turn into the same Bangalore/Chennai situation where you’re basically paying whatever they demand. What do you guys think?
