What are everyone’s thoughts on this Emerald turquoise for a front door?

Posted here a couple times before trying to find a door colour to match my orange siding. Many people suggested turquoise. This colour is Emerald Falls by Premier, and the siding is Autumn Harvest by Kaycan.

My aunts “she shed”

I was thinking this might be good to share here. My aunt turned an old shed into this amazing space. She fails to see how impressive this is. She says she just “threw it together” with things she had around the house. The cohesion, the attention to detail, the creativity…it’s immaculate. We have different styles, but I think anyone can walk in here and appreciate how incredible it is.

My controversial door colour

When I tell you the people on the exterior design subs hated this 😂 …I was curious if it would go over better over here. I messed up the tone of the pink, so I will be repainting them, but having a bright candy pink front door for a couple of days is fun!!

Ideas for a fun, bold, playful door colour!

I’m not open to changing the siding, and I know the white trim should be changed to match the tan coloured trim! I’ll be doing that in time, but right now I’m looking for suggestions (especially with visuals!) for a fun, playful door colour for both front doors!! I’m not super open to beige or brown, grey or black. Pic of siding for reference. I posted a photo last night of the house with pink doors, that was obviously a no go. A humbling experience lol. I added a photo of that too, for your viewing (dis)pleasure. I’m going to repaint them this week. The last photo is a dustier, medium pink that I am considering and wouldn’t mind input about! It’s not as bright and jarring as the current pink…I’d love a dusty rose door if I can find the right colour for the siding. Thanks for your input! 🥰

Are these colours fun and quirky, or terrible lol

UPDATE: Ok ok ok the internet has spoken. Forgive me. I have committed evil. I will aTONE (get it?) for my sins. I’ll choose a different door colour. The siding is brand new and I’m not changing that. It’s called Autumn Harvest by Kaycan. It’s not red brick or terracotta - but similar. For what it’s worth, I bought the house with this siding and white doors - all I’ve done is paint the doors. And that’s all I’m gonna do. Will take your advice and go with a teal or something that isn’t pink.

Sheet mulching around my hydrangeas!

First time sheet mulching, it was a really enjoyable process! On top of the cardboard I added compost, followed by black cedar mulch. In this bed I have a little limelight, a quick fire fab, two pinky winkys, and a limelight. I also have an orange azalea and a dwarf crepe Myrtle! Just put these plants in and sheet mulched around it. Still have to get edging and tidy it up a bit, one things at a time! I know right now it looks a bit silly because the plants are small, but once they grow a bit and fill in the space I think this will look great.

Update: weird hydrangea placing 😬

The general consensus on my last post was that my hydrangeas look a bit weird and disjointed, but that the spacing was good. I’ve decided to take some of the wonderful advice from you fine folks and will be removing the turf and adding soil/mulch to make a defined garden bed. This will help with continuity and I’ll be able to amend the soil to suit their needs more. Here’s an updated photo with my plans for the garden added, and the hydrangeas labeled (quick fire fab, pinky winky, limelight, and a little limelight.) This is just a rough idea to get a sense of things - I will be perfecting the outline so it looks less sloppy and more rounded, at the end by the limelight especially. Last two photos are “before” pics.

The two lilacs and burning bush are going to be outside the garden, I think that works best. Also, hard to tell from pics but my yard slopes downward toward my driveway so that explains the placement a bit more.

Lastly, I have a “mandarin lights” orange azelea and a pink crepe myrtle “lagerstroemia dark roast” on the way and i’m wondering would these be good choices to plant amongst the hydrangeas, or should they go outside of this mulched area, or somewhere else in my yard? I know this is more of a landscape / aesthetics question, but I appreciate all of your advice and insight! I’m a vegetable gardener and although I have an extensive houseplant collection, this is only my second year as a flower gardener so I’m very much a newbie to this!

Does this look weird?

I’ve just planted 4 new hydrangeas. A Quick Fire Fab, two Pinky Winky, and a Limelight. As you can see, I tried to space them in such a way that allows them lots of room to grow, while not being crowded. My vision is that when they are mature, they will act as a border on this edge of my yard. As you can see they are sharing the space with two lilac trees, a burning bush, and a dwarf Limelight that I put in last year. Does it look ok to you? Did I plant them too close or too far apart?
