Springbok Sbu Nkosi sharing his side of the story and why he threw away his career

While playing for the Bulls, he went missing for three weeks, sparking a massive missing person search. In an emotional August 2026 interview on the Off The Pitch podcast, Nkosi revealed the disappearance was triggered by a downward spiral of severe grief and mental health issues after his newborn twin children passed away. He was expected to play that same weekend, leaving him completely unable to process the tragedy.

The Cheetahs handed him a lifeline in March 2024. However, the positive World Rugby test followed quickly in May, resulting in his current three year ban from all professional play.

I think he was desperate to get back into his form and took drastic measures, sad that it resulted in what it did, I loved this dude.

In Bluedowns, Eersterivier, two suspects ambushed a motorbike delivery rider, but instead of stealing the bike, they grabbed only the food order he was transporting and fled. Thank God for cameras, poor guy.

This brings me so much joy.

Watch the emotional moment rivals came together to help Paarl Gim's Niel Spamer score the first try of his life in a remarkable display of sportsmanship.

I bloody told you all we'll hold on, I'm so proud of the boys. 😭🙌Honestly more than I could've ever wanted from them.

Considering we had no scrumhalf towards the end, and we lost our key scrumhalf early plus having a 10 who played his first proffesional club game tonight I'm so happy.

The Sharks have officially changed their logo and have rebranded fully.

End of an Era, glad the "Hollywoodbets Sharks Durban" crap name is gone but to replace the shark with an AI generated shark is just sad.

Also, the new logo on the jersey is "SRC" aka Sharks Rugby Club

If you're wondering how Boland put 41 points on us, just listen to that energy from their supporters and venue, definitely played part of the role. It's incredible what a massive difference there is in the vibes of the crowd from the big teams and these smaller teams.

Imagine how great Currie cup games would be if they were all played at smaller venues like these? They'll actually sell tickets and the crowd will actually affect the teams performances, how it should be.
