macOS 26 crashing overnight and losing connection often

I’ve tried Wireguard, all the different OpenVPN UDP ports, turned off kill switch, ensured the network extension is enabled for split tunneling, I’m using PIA DNS. macOS and PIA are on the latest versions. I haven’t tried different servers, the TCP ports, or restarting my routers and modem. Could these solve it? I’m just tired of troubleshooting so I’m looking for the most likely cause.

Also, restarting PIA immediately fixes the connection for a while, then it drops again. The error log from Apple shows something about no successful check-in from configd, watchdog, and panic.

Thanks for any help in advance

Forbright HYSA withdrawal limits?

Can’t find this through their website, only that they allow an “unlimited” number of transfers. Talked to a rep on the phone who said 2m in one transfer, but I asked for documentation that supports this and she couldn’t find any, just started reading me a bunch of unrelated stuff in the FAQ page. Very fishy.

Trying to bind an app to the network interface my VPN is using on Mac. I figured out which interface it is right now, but is it possible it could change on its own?

If it changes on its own it completely destroys the purpose of binding it at all. I asked AI and looked at old Reddit posts and GitHub discussions, but there was little information and a lot of it outdated. I am currently on macOS 26.

I got an OLED recently, but the drawbacks are annoying me. It also doesn’t feel like a major upgrade over my old IPS monitor. Is 240 fps with DyAc 2 noticeably smoother than 240 fps on a WOLED? I’m also basically only ever on my computer for gaming, so I don’t need my monitor to be good for anything else other than Overwatch.

Thank you

tldr: options for good 120 hz or 240 hz 1440p monitors that have a good backlight strobing implementation that can be used with a Mac?

I don’t like the banding I was expecting to escape from, the weird text (un)clarity, and minor jump in smoothness. The colors in normal situations are kind of better, but that’s about it. I also like to space out to a colorful visualizer while listening to music, and the banding there is very distracting.

I’m also in a unique situation. I use my monitors with my Mac mini. I play using GeForce Now. It’s a subscription service from Nvidia that lets you play games on many devices by connecting to a server that runs the game for you. Part of the catch is the frame rate at 1440p can only be set to either 240 max or 120 max for my main game (Overwatch). I can’t have it between 120 and 240 because of some conflict with GeForce Now. So I’m thinking I’ll need a 120 hz monitor if I want backlight strobing compatible with my Mac, which according to ChatGPT would look clearer than 240 FPS with an OLED.

Thank you.

https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5702/~/optimized-for-geforce-rtx-5080-games

According to this article from Nvidia: "When RTX 5080 gaming rigs are full at the nearest server, sessions will connect to an RTX 4080 rig at that location before forwarding to the next closest Ultimate server."

This expansion for 5080s started on April 30 (yesterday). Does this mean I won't be able to play Overwatch at 1440p 240 fps often? I bought an OLED 1440p 240 hz monitor just for this game, so that would be very unfortunate. Overwatch has been available with 5080s ever since they rolled out.
