I’ve seen some instagram posts advertising automotive shop space for DIYers and hobbyists in the Bay Area, renting a bay and a lift weekly or monthly.
Does anyone know of anything like that in Sonoma County?
Not really a big deal but just noticed it the other day and thought it was weird, both tail lights and drivers side blinker flash when I lock the truck with the fob, but the otherwise functional passenger side blinker doesn’t flash.
Anyone have any idea?
I’m in no way affiliated with either brand, but I got a VeePeak Bluetooth OBD Scanner and $10 OBD Fusion app last month and this is pretty cool. Got it mostly because my cluster doesn’t show trans temp, and at just about $50 total it was the cheapest option but also really nice having it clean on the head unit rather than an auxiliary gauge mounted somewhere, or paying $100+ to have trans temp of questionable accuracy on my cluster. Instant MPG doesn’t matter much but cool to see, can’t see it on the truck otherwise.
You’re able to setup what values you want displayed, and the trip function is pretty cool too. Trip time and distance, fuel used, fuel cost if you care to keep price updates in the app.
Well worth the ≈$50 if you already have a CarPlay head unit. Has worked without issue since the beginning, always connects and shows me what I asked for
Drivers side works fine, but passenger side rear seat back won’t fold forward unless I pull on this lower cable. Not the biggest deal but is there any adjustment or mod I can make that’ll get it back to working as intended?
Hydroboost was leaking bad out of the weep port, leaving puddles on the ground and fluid all over the truck, and starting to leak at the pedal side into the cab. Easy work under the hood but under the dash is a pain, those 4 nuts and clip at the pedal aren’t much fun. Can’t imagine doing that without the drivers seat pulled out.
Didn’t realize my GM water pump came with gaskets, ordered Mahle also. Which would yall run?
I have the aluminum tool for removing the firewall end of these after helping a buddy replace a broken connector on his 99 4.8 pickup, but now that I realize how fragile these are I want to replace the same connectors on my 5.3 Yukon with rear climate control and different connectors.
Seems like a scaled down version of the firewall connector so I’m guessing I’ll need a tool for that too?
I have a GE gtw460asj6ww that just stopped draining. Saturday was the first instance, I was able to put it on drain and spin and it worked. Sunday I ran another load, and again it wouldn’t drain. Tried drain and spin again and it wouldn’t work, instead made this nasty sound the couple times I tried before I gave up
