Question about giving our cat access to our yard

I’ve only had one other cat who never had any interest in going outside. We caught this kitten in a trap and brought her in and she is fantastic and super sociable. When we sit in our back porch she meows and meows because she wants to be wherever we are.

We decided to let her on the porch today and she was psyched to come out. She is sticking close to us but is venturing a little into the flower bed because of the bumblebees and butterflies.

Is it a bad idea to let her out at all? Is it all or nothing with cats as far as indoor and indoor/outdoor, will she always try to escape if she gets a taste for the wild? Or could we let her come out and spend time on the porch without creating a problem?

Digital Kessler Syndrome?

I just had a thought and wanted to bounce it off people who know more than me. Say in a few years mostly everything online becomes AI generated, customer reviews, news articles, news article summaries, comments, etc.. In this scenario, which seems to be inevitable, the internet becomes so inundated and overriden with AI slop/spam that it effectively becomes unusable. I liken it to the Kessler effect that contemplates a cascading, chain reaction of a feedback loop with our satellite system. Once low-Earth and other orbits become so crowded, a collision or deliberate attack would send fragments out, colliding with other satellites and so on and so on.

What would that look like? Could we start another "new" internet? MAybe we just close off access to sites and verifying authenticity becomes the driving force in social media? I don't know, I thought it might be an interesting question.

The kind folks over at r/CalicoKittys said that she belongs over here

I’ve only ever had regular, standard issue grey cats before. I never knew there were different varieties of calico, but I’m learning!
