Why is China's GDP lower than USA?

I barely know anything about economics, but China's population is over 4 times USA's. China also manufactures an insane amount of products and sells it globally. I feel like most stuff I own at home is made in China.

How common is it for Americans to walk for short errands instead of taking the car?

For example, if you need to quickly buy something from a nearby store, pick up food, grab a coffee, etc. Would you usually walk if it's close enough, or would most people still drive?

I'm curious how much this depends on where you live (big city vs suburb vs small town), weather, convenience, safety, culture, and so on.

[WP] You wake up in the hospital after a traumatic accident. You're physically fine, but something is terrifyingly wrong: the doctors' faces are completely blurred out, like censored photographs. Soon, you realize it's everyone. You are trapped in a world of faceless people.

Cooked some pork roast and it's kind of rainbowy in the middle. Took a picture and changed some settings to see it clearer
