Hi, is it a conference or a concert causing most hotel rooms to be booked Oct 20th-23rd?

A large lemon tart, mac and cheese (aka Dinner Tonight), 2 pretzels, 2 danishes, a muffin, a savoury scone and a loaf of bread. Very happy with this surprise bag.

Has anyone seen South American varieties of seed potatoes available at garden centres in Ontario, or sold online through Ontario garden centres?

I'd be buying them in the spring, for next year.

I've found many types of Canadian, American, and European seed potatoes sold at garden centres in Toronto and southwestern Ontario. Many have been Florissa brand.

I can't remember seeing any South American types.

I realize seed potatoes are highly regulated. It's possible there are none being sold in Ontario.

I had mentioned checking out Vincenzo's to a friend who will visit Waterloo and the St Jacobs Farmers' Market.

I am not a fan of the restaurants in St Jacobs, and I'm out of the loop re: lunch and brunch in Waterloo since I don't visit often.

I mentioned Seven Shores to my friend. I don't like the food at Solé that much. I haven't had lunch at Solé. I have eaten dinner there 3 times.

I like Bhima's. I'm not sure it's open at lunch and it probably isn't what my friend is seeking out for a Saturday lunch or brunch.

521, Athens Pastries, and some Scarborough and Danforth Greek restaurants make good Greek Frappes.

I wasn't impressed with the Greek Frappes made at Agora, Kafe Daki, or Filosophy.

I have not tried the Greek frappes at the coffee shops on Pape that serve them, including El Greco, Goat Coffee Co., Cafe Serano and Phyllo Café. Which of these do you like?

My friend has a rain barrel, filled with filthy water, after he found a dead raccoon inside the rain barrel.

Does anyone know of a cleaning company that can handle this? I'm not sure if some cleaning companies specialize in this, that would be separate from the cleaning companies that clean up crime scenes and sites where people have passed away.

My friend cannot empty the rain barrel himself.

Another company removed the dead raccoon already.

Last fall, right as my pears were almost ripe to pick, someone picked every single pear off my tree in the middle of the night.

This week, I discovered someone dug up an entire rhubarb plant, after picking about half the rhubarb growing in my rhubarb patch. That plant that was bigger than what a garden centre sells for $25, and it had been grown from a plant that was given to me by an elderly neighbour who passed away.

I have looked at No Trespassing signs online. I'm guessing most garden thieves ignore them anyhow.

How do you deal with thieves?

Should I post reminder that it's private property, and that I'm the one putting the time, effort and money into to maintaining the garden?
