I am a grad student looking for architectural history journals I can publish in rather quickly as I feel my project is a competitive one and I want to make sure I’m on top of my particular topic.
Back, somewhere between 2018/2019 my mother asked me to open a safety deposit box with her for her jewelry which she wanted to pass down to me her youngest child (out of only 2 children). The box is in both of our names.
She does not have a will, we always planned to get one made but life got busy for me and you know how it is, sometimes we just don’t expect certain things to happen.
She got diagnosed with a “possible” neurodegenerative disease. Nevertheless right now she is unable to sign anything. Handwritten wills are not legally recognized in my state (New York).
My father just now inquired about the box. My father’s sisters have been after that jewelry my mom’s entire life as they grew up poor and even though they have moved up the social ladder and have accumulated a lot of wealth they are still after my mom’s jewelry. The jewelry was gifted to my mom by her brothers at the time she got married.
I feel that if my mom passes my dad will take action and seize this asset from me.
It’s not even the monetary value that’s important to me, I just want to make sure my aunts cannot get this jewelry as this is against my mom’s will.

I’ve seen a lot of photos of Gulistan Cinema from the outside but out of curiosity does anybody have any photos of the cinema from its interior? It is a mythical cinema at this point since its demolition in 2005…
I currently go to an office in Albany where one of the hygienists in the office purposely does a cleaning procedure that isn’t covered by my insurance.
The other issue is that apparently I’ve had cavities since 2024 but in my 6 month checkups the previous dentist at this practice told me after filling a couple cavities and “pre-cavities” that my teeth were fine. I saw a new dentist at this practice this past Monday and she said I had 5 cavities that have been there since 2024, meanwhile the dental tech that took my X-rays took them wrong apparently and she happens to be the daughter of the hygienist and was brought in on the job randomly that day.
I have anthem blue cross blue shield through nys but it is a lower tiered plan that doesn’t cover much.
Does anyone know a good in network dentist in Latham, Troy, or Watervliet I could get a second opinion from? I do not want to go to my current dentist anymore as I do not trust them at all.
