Comparisons to kingmaker

Hi, I recently played kingmaker and rage quit. Let me expliain: i loved the combat and reached the troll caves and troll boss but the game felt unbalanced and that map traverse is super slow and annoying, plus managing a kingdom was super boring.

But man combat was fun.

Is WOTR better in all these aspects? Most importantly is it balanced and fair on story mode?

Thanks.

FYI they fixed the coop in the legacy edition of LoTR war in the north. The game is pure fun.

I know many of the reviews state coop was broken on release, and even store reviews state that, but today it was working flawlessly and the game.is just pure fun, no nonsense.

I wish they made more great games like this today, great story, simple ability trees, simple mechanics, no need for open world just quick fun.

Question about expansions and story scenarios

Hi, I just finished Crimson Caldera and white it was nice I really liked the smaller and easier scenarios like the Archipelago or the Valley of wonders.

Are any of the expansions having a smaller and more relaxing scenarios or they all keep getting longer and tougher?

Bitaxe changes to an off IP after lease reset

hi, I have a very odd thing happening, it just started happening now where it was just fine for a year.

so i have 3 bitaxes that all run fine when reset, they connect to wifi and i can connect to their web interface and check them, they all get 192.168.1.x IP. After lease is over they all go to some odd 192.168.5.x IP range and i can never connect to them, its very odd and I am not sure how that happens, any idea?

fixed: it was a setting on my mesh system that is called "steering" that forces devices to connect to closest network on lease expiration, even if its 5Gh. disabled that and each device is connected where it needs to.

Do we really think this deal is better that what we had before with Iran?

Granted the details are not out yet, but with available info and speculation it seems like Iran gets to keep its enriched uranium and promises to destriy it. Now didnt we already get cheated by Iran? I mean they promised not to enrich uranium and see where we are now.. how can we trust them? And why do we let them dictate the Lebanon connection crap?

How to attack Nimu and how does defensive pact works?

Hi, so I am at the 2nd mission and at turn 45 now. I already signed two defensive pacts and also had a free city become vassal, and now that Nimu revealed herself and declared was I can plan my atttck.

My question is, i dont see any option to set bounty on Nimu so how can I get that? And also, I understand defensive pact is only in effect when Nimu actually attack me, but can I make use of that while on the field close to her base?

I guess inam just not clear about my options here..

Thanks

Questions from a noob

Hi, i recently purchased AOW4 and played several session. i admit i still struggle and never even finished the first mission of the campaign, i am still trying easy and relaxed small maps to get an idea of the mechanics.

But i hope to get some clarifications for these, i know they are mostly basic.

  1. Is there really no guide or tutorial that really takes you step by step through all mechanics? the existing one waits for you to actually do something and doesnt really guide you.

  2. I understand each troop or set of troops is a max of six. including my Hero, but if i want to attack with a big army, how do I make several groups attack together, i could not find a consistent way to determine this.

  3. how do i know which of my troops (in battle and out of battle) have remaining moves? I always find I cycle between each and every one to see which one i didn't fully utilize... and its a pan when you have a dozen on the board.

  4. when I look at an enemy all I can see is the amount of troops it has, and when i try and fight it tells me if its easy or hard or impossible etc. is there no way to really examine enemy info/power/weakness before a battle?

  5. is there a way for my hero to cast spells during battles? i could not find a way, its like i only had archers and swordmen and my hero could hit harder..

  6. in the first campaign they ask me to make a friendly city into a vassal, they didnt tell me how.. I just met them and gave that whispering stone and then what? i dont see any progress or options.

  7. if i understand properly, each unit in my group has a number that shows steps left to move and its level, thats it. how do i upgrade the level? and can I add units into that group? (past six).

Thank you so much.

I really enjoyed this game until burning hearts, then it spiked in difficulty and I just stopped

Hi, I loved this game and has been playing since release, the campaign was really nice and so far I enojoyed each map fully until burning hearts, I took both directions there to be sure and each is super hard even on story difficulty with tons of enemy heroes roaming and they all gain so many stacks you cant match, it stopped being fun after several full tries.

Hope they rebalance this level, it has potential.

In Burning hearts I have this very strong hero chasing me even on easy difficulty and its kicking my ass, do i have to restart the map or can I do something? he always chases after me.
