We’ve known each other for a long time, and we see each other almost every day. I pass by his house on my way to my small cat shelter. He has a loving home, but his family often lets him outside to explore the neighborhood. He usually comes over to say hello and ask for a few pets.

We hadn’t seen each other for several days because of the extreme heat. I think he preferred staying somewhere cool and hidden. Today he spotted me from a distance. He came running straight toward me, meowing all the way. I was very happy to see him again.
