So… what are you guys doing for your boobs when you run? 😅

I’m a distance runner (BQ’d 3x), so I’ve been trying to keep up with my running, albeit slower than I was. I’m six weeks today.

But dear god in heaven, my BOOBS.

When I run, they hurt so bad. And mind you, I’ve been a board member of the itty bitty titty committee my entire life (34B), so I’m not used to having larger chesticles, and mine already feel so swollen.

Do you guys have recommendations for more supportive sports bras? I’ve been faithful to lululemon forever and have been wearing their “like a cloud” bra.

Edit: I LOVE THIS COMMUNITY THANK YOU ALL FOR THE SUGGESTIONS FOR THE GIRLS ✨✨❤️✨✨

Anyone else sweating like mad during workouts?

I was already a very sweaty girly (like swamp rat level sweaty), but holy moly nothing compared to this.

I’m almost six weeks and I’ve been sweating an absurd amount, even when doing very light lifting/jogging/walking.

I guess it also doesn’t help that I feel warm literally all the time - the AC is on 66 in our apartment right now and I’m still hot 😅

Hope everyone is feeling as fine and dandy as they can be today ❤️

Horrible first appointment experience.

My husband and I went in together for my first appointment yesterday, and I’m truly not sure if it could’ve gone any worse.

We’ve been trying for about seven months, and we’ve both had some issues of our own - he’s had low count, motility, abnormal DFI %, and I’m almost 35 with diminished ovarian reserve and a history of thyroid issues (low TSH, high TRAB). So the odds for us to conceive naturally were against us.

He’s been taking enclomapin and I had an HSG done in July. My hormone panel in June also came back perfect - TSH was in the normal range.

We found out I was pregnant on July 31st (ovulated July 17th, after the HSG which was on 7/9), and we felt all the emotions as first time parents to be - excitement & also scared shitless.

I’m very, very early still (5 weeks tomorrow), but because of my history of thyroid stuff, I wanted to get in to do bloodwork as soon as possible, also to confirm the pregnancy.

So fast forward to yesterday. We go into the room, and immediately the assistant tells me to undress from the waist down. I was told when making this appointment that it was only going to be for blood work. The ultrasound tech comes in, and I tell her straight up, “Hey, I’m not comfortable doing this today - I was told on the phone that this was only going to be blood work and given it’s so early, if we don’t see anything it’s going to give me anxiety.” Especially given everything we’ve been through with TTC. The tech sort of gives me attitude and says she’s going to get my doctor.

My doctor comes in, who I’ve been seeing for four years. She doesn’t say congratulations. I tell her how far along I am, the symptoms I’ve been having (boobs hurt, exhausted and can’t workout like I used to already, some food aversions/nausea).

Then, I bring up the HSG, because even though I’d sent her the findings from where I got it done, she had never responded to me via the patient portal. She starts off by saying, “Yeah you know, I’ve received so many weird reports out of [hospital name] lately.”

This is a hospital she literally referred me to for the HSG. So. That already is a strange thing to say.

Then, I show her the images, because apparently she wasn’t able to view them through the patient portal. She said both my fallopian tubes looked normal in caliber and structure, but there was so definite sign of spillage into the left side, so that means there could be a blockage at the very, very end of the tube.

My husband and I both were basically like, “But I guess that’s not an issue now because I’m pregnant.” At first she said yeah it’s just something we’d potentially need to monitor later on by getting another HSG to confirm, because this could’ve been “user error.”

Then, she goes on to say, “But yeah this could also be an ectopic pregnancy.” Essentially delivering the news like it’s a 50/50 chance?? And was telling us that we could do the ultrasound today, but it’s too early to see anything anyway, but it could help rule it out?? I’m just like… if it’s too early to see anything, why would you suggest that in the first place?

Needless to say, it was a very bizarre, anxiety inducing visit and I’ve felt sick to my stomach since yesterday afternoon. My husband is convinced they just wanted to do an ultrasound to bill me for it, because there’s no way a doctor’s office should be suggesting that when I’m 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant.

So, I got blood work done and I’m going back in tomorrow to monitor my HCG levels. I just feel so upset, like this doctor (who I’ve been seeing for four years!!!) was hell bent on only delivering bad news and making me anxious during my first ever pregnancy doctor’s appointment, and that’s something I’ll never get to experience again for the first time.

It’s also made me absolutely terrified to move my body/workout at all in case something actually is wrong and working out makes it worse.

TLDR:
OBGYN nonchalantly suggested I may have an ectopic pregnancy with no concrete evidence during my first doctor’s visit.

4 weeks and 2 days, already so tired 😅

Title says it all. OOF.

For context, I’m a distance runner and kickboxer, and I go to Barry’s bootcamp 2-3 times a week. And my body is like, wtf is going on?!

This fatigue has hit me like a goddamn bus. I’ve been describing it to my husband as feeling like I’m on the cusp of having the flu all the time. I’m not super nauseous yet, but have definitely been having an aversion to some foods - a piece of avocado fell on my leg this morning while eating avocado toast and I almost projectile vomited seeing the green smooshed blob on my thigh.

ANYWAY. I’m worried I’m gonna go a little nuts not being able to workout like I normally do. First pregnancy ever, so also feeling paranoid that any movement is going to break the baby, so to speak.

I wanted to join this community to get some opinions and perspectives. How did you feel during the first few weeks/first trimester while working out? What modifications did you have to make?

Also you all are amazing, beautiful strong women and I’ve been so inspired by reading some of these posts ✨✨✨

Still in shock.

My husband and I have been TTC since January and it’s been a total rollercoaster of emotions.

We’ve also been THROUGH IT during our first four years of marriage - my mom died suddenly in 2023, followed by my grandma in April of 2024. And my dad cut off the entire family and essentially went nuts/already remarried.

TTC was anything but easy. I’m almost 35 with diminished ovarian reserve and my husband had low motility/count and had to go on clomid.

Months after months of both of us seeing doctors/getting blood work done/me having an HSG. Told by doctors we’d never be able to conceive naturally. Months after months of disappointment and tears.

And now, finally. Multiple positive pregnancy tests.

It’s still very early (about four weeks), so we’re both still terrified that something could go wrong given all the bad news we received along the way TTC.

But for now, we’re trying to remain hopeful and excited. And having so much peace of mind that it was possible for us to conceive naturally after all.

Please send sticky baby dust our way ✨🤰🥹

Is this what I think it is???

Am I nuts or is there a faint line? And if so… holy 😳

All these people suck?

Title says it all.

The men are misogynistic, controlling robots (except maybe for that one guy who wants to be a fireman - legitimately can’t remember his name) and the women are all so goddamn sensitive and insecure.

But am I gonna keep watching? You know it.

Weird symptoms I’ve literally never had before a period - curious if anyone else has experienced the same.

As the title suggests, I’ve been having some odd symptoms this week. Period is due tomorrow. Here’s what’s up:

- VERY light spotting since Tuesday evening - brownish in color. Haven’t even come close to needing a tampon and it’s been on and off. Seems to have stopped completely today.
- Nipples are insanely sensitive. If my husband touches them I start laughing because it tickles.
- Lower back pain. Holy fuck, back pain. It’s not constant, but when it’s there, it is THERE. Feels best when I’m not sitting or laying down. Movement/standing helps.

Should I be worried at all that something is seriously wrong if I don’t get a positive test? I’ve never had any of these symptoms before a period.

Update - I got my period 😔 why is this shit such a mind fuck???
