Getting Rid of German Cockroaches

I have German cockroaches in my home. Nasty MFs. Portland, OR if that makes a difference.

I already have a concentration of 36% Permethrin.

I've used this before on clothing and outdoor gear for tick and mosquito control with great success. This was using 1% concentration, which is double what you buy in the camping section.

Now I want to kill cockroaches in my apartment. My apartment is very well sealed and no new ones are getting in. Just need to kill the ones that got in when one seal broke.

Does anyone have experience with using Permethrin for killing German cockroaches and what concentration did you use?

Only looking for Permethrin users as that is what I have and I can't afford a different insecticide.

Thank you.

P.S. I am partially disabled so prepping/restocking the areas is difficult for me and I'm probably going to have to do this in 5 stages (days). So I really need something that will work with a single application.

I've had one person tell me he mixes 2oz of 10% into a 32oz sprayer of water (0.62% solution) for perimeter control. This seems kinda low to me.

Labels to Help Track Your Rocks

Here's an easy way to help track any rocks you "hide". This helps whoever finds your rock to post it back here. I've used these in other groups and the messages I see when someone "finds" a rock that made their whole day fill the heart. The URL points back to this sub.

These are full sheets of 70 labels each. Just print & cut along the dashed lines. Each label is 1" x 1". If you need smaller, use the zoom out function on the printer.

To use, glue it to the bottom of the rock. I use Elmer's purple school glue (dries clear). Make sure the whole label bottom has glue to protect it from moisture.
Do this before you do any clear coat. If you don't use a clear coat, then use more glue to coat the top of the label.

There's 2 versions. A color and a B&W. The color is prettier, the B&W is cheaper. The B&W is also best for B&W laser printers. They are free to use and download.

FYI: I see some inkjets will smear when the clear coat is applied. You may have to print these at Office Depot, FedEx Office, or a UPS Store instead.

Hu Chocolate

Sorry, no pic. Just wanted to give a heads-up.

I saw my store was carrying Hu Chocolate bars. I was going to buy one, but I noticed that the chocolate only filled about 75% of the package. The rest was air.

Not sure if this is all Hu Chocolate bars, or specially made for GO.

Oil additive?

So, way back in '92, I put Slick 50 in my '89 Ford Ranger. I immediately noticed it was running cooler and I was getting better gas mileage. I would refresh my oil with more Slick 50 every couple of years. I don't remember my miles when it was stolen in in '99. But never had engine problems.
But in doing a google search, so many posts say it never worked, caused other issues, or my fav "I never tried it, but I did fine". Which is weird because I saw the immediate effect myself.

This brings me to today with my 2013 Honda Fit with 220k miles. Are there any additives that would help the life on my engine? Thanks.

What's the future of the Fit

When the 60's era VW Bug was discontinued current bugs were kept alive by grabbing used parts from the scrapyard.

Is this going to be the same fate for the Fit?

CONTEST !

I woke up today and decided I wanted to sponsor a contest.

The theme is the 250th (semiquincentennial) anniversary of the USA on the 4th of July.

The contest is the one who paints the best rock to that theme.
The images are just ideas. It doesn't have to include a flag. Let your imagination fly.

Rules:
Place your image as a reply to this post.
Deadline is July 3rd @ noon PDT. I'll repost the winner in time for everyone to see by July 4th 12am EDT.
I'm the only judge (that may change). And I want this to be fun, so I reserve the right to change the rules at anytime.
Nothing political. I want this argument free. No faces except George, Benjamin, or Abraham. No thin blue line, or rainbow flags. So keep it neutral please.
You can submit as many rocks as you like.
You can also submit a set of rocks that are to be judged as one (for ex: 1 flag, 1 Statue of Liberty, 1 Bald Eagle). Make it clear in your post.
If I get enough submissions, I'll post 2nd & 3rd places & honorable mentions also, but only 1st place gets the prize.

Prize:
It's not huge as I'm broke af, but some kind of food from Oregon that will be in the $10-15 range. We have cheeses that are to die for. We also produce Marionberries, which was first cultivated by Oregon State University.
I will DM the winner and we can discuss what they would like & what I can get, and ship the prize to them.
Because it involves shipping, the prize is limited to shipping inside the US. But anyone can play. This can also be sent to a relative or friend in the US.

Questions:
Fire away.

The fight still lives. Cascadia for the win

We're in the final 4. We need to keep fighting.

They look at what you say and how you vote.

Voting up down makes a huge difference.

Cascadia needs to capture Megasota.
