Asics Sonicblast 2 (2026) Official Images

This is the upcoming Sonicblast 2, last year it wws kinda overshadowed by its bigger and pricier brother, but this year it is all grown up and not releasing alongside each other.

It utilizes a new FFTurbo² trampoline pod in the forefoot which enhances energy return and responsiveness.

Sonicblast remains a two-layer foam experience: FFTurbo² (ATPU) provides a springy and supportive feel for the top layer. FFBlast Max cushioning sits at the bottom, creating a plush underfoot experience and rebound.

This year, the ASTROPLATE technology (3/4 Pebax plate) is a forked design which offers a balance of propulsion and flexibility for versatile movement.

Last years Sonicblast also had an ASTROPLATE, 3/4 Pebax plate but was not forked.

Finally, there is an ASICSGRIP rubber outsole which delivers superior traction on various surfaces. Compared to last year's Sonicblast, there is more rubber coverage in the heel.

In Canada, the shoe is getting a price bump from 230 CAD to 240 CAD.

Releasing this fall/winter whilst Megablast will get pushed to 2027.

Asics Gel-Slowcush Q4 2026

This is the new colorway that will be released for the upcoming Asics Gel-Slowcush, Orange Glow/Cherry Tomato. The second colorway Soft Oat/Simply Taupe was already leaked last year but according to 21run is set to be released on October 1st.

The Gel-Slowcush is meant to be a max cushion everyday mileage, recovery shoe with a forefoot height of 40mm and a heel height of 48mm, drop of 8mm.

It will weigh 298grams (US Men's 9)

Asic's has added PureGel PLUS technology to help increase impact absorptipn, approxiametely 20% lighter than PureGel. Hexagonal prisms of the PureGel PLUS are arranged with gaps between them, allowing the material to compress softly.

Asic's has also added a new foam called FFLuxe+ which offers a higher level of bounce, plushness and responsiveness compared to FFLuxe which is also a new foam.

There is an engineered mesh upper and familiar padding around the heel.

There is a combination of rubber, ASICSGRIP and AHARPLUS. There is also an OrthoLite sockliner.

This shoe reminds me of the previous generation New Balance More V5 in terms of design.

Looking to get a first drone (1000 USD max)

Hiya, I've been looking to get myself a drone to do some content creation and have fun with. I would like built on prop guards as I want to be as careful as possible, but I am fine without if other things are good.

I will mostly be using it for school work and videography.

I currently have a basic license in Canada which allows me to fly over 250g drones and just gives me a sense of safety loll.

Ive done a bit of research on each but these are my current doubts and findings:

The Flip is relatively cheap and the camera is very good but it only has forward facing obstacle avoidance. I'm intrigued by this drone because its sort of an oddball in the lineup in terms of design whilst having a good camera.

The Lito X1 is good value and has the same camera setup as Flip, but obstacle avoidance is better though there are no prop guards. I'm intrigued by this drone because it is the newest and seems to bring good value and a lot of higher end components.

The Neo 2 is very good at following people and is easiest to fly, but camera isnt great and cant colorgrade. I'm intrigued by it's obstacle avoidance and its small size as it can go inside. Also, it does seem very rugged.

The Avata 360 is very good for people who like reframing shots in post and has a lot of flexibility for bad piloting, but camera is not great for price. I'm intrigued by this drone as it is sort of like a bigger Neo 2 in terms of design but has more ways to edit.

The Mini 5 Pro has the best camera and good obstacle avoidance, but no prop guards and is quite a bit more expensive than Lito X1. I'm intrigued by this drone because it seems like a default option, the one being sold at Costco loll and has great features all around.

The Air 3s has the best cameras, lots of features and best battery but it is a lot heavier than Mini 5 Pro and weighs 300g more than the 2nd heaviest. I am intrigued by this drone because it has a 70mm so I would be able to get nice blur and it would fare better in the wind.

iPhone 18 Pro leaked after Tata Electronics cyberattack

Hackers stole supplier lists, component designs and most importantly drop-test footage of the new iPhones.

Over 200k files of data were suspexted to be leaked and Tata Electronics have confirmed the attack.

Apple has launched a supply chain security investigation after this and is working with Tata to strengthen security.

Tata Electronics is a major partner for.manfacturing iPhones made in India.

This is the drop test of the iPhone 18 Pro series in a new silver/gray finish.

The unibody design with the back glass looks a lot.more cohesive now as the two materials blend a lot more semalessly in terms of shade.

The phone appears thicker and has a more pronounced camera bump, acting as a slight not to better camera hardware.

The dynamic island looks to be getting smaller in the component design layout.

We also get a look at the A20 Pro, motherboard and rhe new WMCM packaging. This allows SoC with WMCM packaging to be outer facing, in turn pushing the RAM to sit on the side instead of on top, allowing the A20 Pro chip die to have direct contact with the vapor chamber.

Other things to expect are an Apple C2 chip and bigger vapor chamber.

There are currently 2 drop test videos circulating all around Weibo and Twitter, check them out as well.

Asics Metafuji Trail 2 Revealed, 42mm stack, FFLeap, X-shaped Carbon Plate, FFBlast+

This is the all new Asics Metafuji Trail 2.

It weights in at just 8.9oz for a US Mens 9, 42/37mm stack height, 5mm drop, 255 grams for US Mens 9

Meant to be a super trail shoe for races, ultras.

The shoe has gone through 7 iterations of prototyping and 23 elite athletes on ASICS's team have tested these out.

This is the shoe that Tom Evans (19:18:58) won UTMB Mont Blanc 2025 in Chamonix, France. This is also the shoe that Ben Dhiman (19:51:37) who came second, wore for the 174km, 9900 M+ elevation, race.

The shoe has gone through a major rethinking of philosophy by Asics with huge design changes compared to the previous one that looked quite like a normal running shoe.

Up top is FFLeap, in the middle an X-shaped carbon fiber plate and in the bottom FFBlast+ foam.

The X-shaped plate in a trail super shoe is to help with rigidity and stability whilst propelling you, but it hasa bit more flex and a little bit more adaptation as you're going on different kind of terrains and doing different directional steps.

There is full ASICSGRIP coverage with 3.5mm multidirectional lugs

There is a version of Motion Wrap on here called Motion Wrap TR which improves lightness and is minimum 50% recycled.

The sock like construction on the highest bit of the upper is very stretchy and protects dust from entering into the shoe.

Front of the shoe has a pliable bumper that is not overly stiff or tough, a little extra protection.

Quick lacing system with a lace pocket to tuck the laces securely out of the way.

The price is set at 280 USD, more colorways will come.

Coming soon on August 1st

Vivo X200 Ultra battery woes, less than 6 hours SOT

My X200 Ultra has had awful battery for the past few months. At the start, even with indexing, it used to get phenomenal battery. I used the same apps, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Reddit, Google, Edge.

For some reason, the phones been getting around high 5 to 6 hours of SOT time when it used to get 9 hours plus. Seems kinda odd for a phone released just last year.

I have smart adaptation refresh rate, UHD.

Any tips or similar experiences?

New Asics Trail Prototype

This is the Asics Metafuji Trail 2 finalized prototype. The production version is coming out very soon.

Sizing for a US 9 is 9.2oz, they fit on the slimmer side.

The shoe features 3.5mm lugs, dual density foams with one being a formulation of FFLeap, ASICSGRIP and is plated.

This is the shoe that Tom Evans (19:18:58) won UTMB Mont Blanc 2025 in Chamonix, France. This is also the shoe that Ben Dhiman (19:51:37) who came second, wore for the 174km, 9900 M+ elevation, race.

This shoe is radically different from the previous Metafuji Trail, which bears a striking semblance and shares a lot of similarities with the S4 (2023) based off Edge+ released in 2022. The previous Metafuji Trail was already slightly oudated as the Metaspeed Paris series was already out by the time the Metafuji Trail went into mass production.

The shoe in the first image above is pretty much production ready with more announcements from Asics and thoughts from reviewers coming soon.

Here in the marketing material for X Fold 6, we see that the corners of the screen are more rounded and the phone's aspect ratio changes to a shorter style.

The selfie camera remains on the top right corner when held unfolded.

Is this a welcome change?

What even will a Nike Structure Premium be and how will it fit in the lineup?

I've been wondering what Nike is doing for the Structure Premium. Have they given up on it?

What I thought Premium meant was "experimental" and with visible Air Zoom units as shown in Pegasus Premium and Vomero Premium.

The Pegasus Premium was super different from the Plus, and it chose to be super heavy for the full-length Air Zoom unit.

The Vomero Premium is not even close to what the Vomero Plus philosophy is. The Plus is enhanced from the 18, but the Vomero Premium is nowhere close. It has an insane 50+ mm stack and two visible bubbles of Air Zoom.

So, what is the Structure Premium going to be like if the Structure line is all about stability? And is it even getting released?

I remember Believe In The Run referenced the Structure Premium and how they saw it: "Structure Plus and Structure Premium (we’ve seen them, and honestly, they’re pretty exciting. Aesthetically speaking, anyway)."

The Structure Plus released 5 months ago, and it didn't seem that aesthetically different...

This makes me wonder if the Structure Premium will be an aesthetic lifestyle runner.

Basically, what do yall think the Structure Premium is and what even are its competitors at this point?
