Interesting Canadian microcap: RZOLV Technologies (TSXV: RZL)

I came across this tiny Canadian mining-tech company and thought it was worth putting on the radar.
RZOLV is developing a cyanide-free process for recovering gold and potentially other critical minerals.
What caught my attention:
SGS testing has shown up to 98.7% gold recovery
They've moved into bulk-scale testing at an Arizona gold operation
They're developing a 1 tonne/day pilot plant
They're also working on silver, copper, rare earths and critical minerals
Market cap is only around $18M

The interesting thesis isn't that they found a gold deposit. It's that they may have developed a better way to process existing deposits, concentrates and mine waste.
Obviously, lab results don't equal commercial success. The big question is whether they can achieve good recovery at a competitive cost at scale.
But if they do, an ~$18M company could have a lot of room to grow.
Anyone here with mining/metallurgy experience? I'd actually like someone to tear this thesis apart.

EU Safe Procurement Bet

Awesome news today. The Canadian contracts will be the backbone for sure but this what tickles my fancy: Canada now has a formal pathway into EU SAFE procurement. Canada became the first non-European country admitted to participate in SAFE procurement.

Romania contracts will take us to the moon.

Romania has an enormous €16.68B SAFE allocation.

The interesting thing for Volatus is that Romania doesn’t have a drone ecosystem.

My guess: Romania could be looking for imported NATO-compatible ISR drones, counter-UAS, training and integration rather than trying to build everything itself

Others we could see would be Portugal and Finland. Any other country would be great but I’m laying down my crystal ball to say watch Romania.

A Good City Is More Than a Good Night Out

As the election approaches we're hearing a lot about making downtown "lively" by spending money on more events and nightlife. Prince George already has people doing this work. The best examples of this are Omineca Arts, Nancy O's, the Legion and the Knox. They and many others have been creating entertainment and culture for years. They've built audiences and taken the risks. We should be supporting them, not creating publicly funded competition for their customers.
People only have so much time and money to spend. If the city creates another event, that doesn't magically create another entertainment dollar.
Prince George isn't Vancouver. In big cities, people already live, work and walk downtown. Here, most people have to get in their vehicles and deliberately drive downtown at night. Are we trying to manufacture a big city nightlife culture that isn't natural to Prince George?
** **
Build a better city instead.
Make downtown safer, cleaner and easier to access. Improve streets, parking, lighting and infrastructure. Make it easier for existing businesses and cultural organizations to succeed. Support the people who are already creating the culture.
** **
Don't spend money just so City Hall can say it made downtown "lively."
A good city isn't measured by how busy downtown is on Saturday night. It's measured by whether people want to live, work, raise families and build businesses here.

Bought 20k shares of Volatus Aerospace (TSX: FLT) today

Canadian company in a sector Canada is starting to prioritize.
Military spending: Canada is ramping up investment in drones and autonomous systems.
Wildfires: detection, monitoring and firefighting drones should become increasingly important.

Very speculative, but I like the risk/reward here. If Canada keeps increasing spending in these areas, FLT could be in an interesting position.

Just my thesis, not financial advice.

$14 a share before December? Q2 is Aug 7th. Q3 is early November. Adding today is a bargain.
