Ok so from the photo you can probably tell it had 3 legs the front two are used for simple movement while the back leg is stiff and used for balance while it's mouth is on its underside something I haven't drawn is it's tongue like tentacles while it had 3 eyes. So it lives in the more deeper area less light 3 eyes work better for seeing in the dark they eat dead life forms that sink to the bottom they have an extremely slow matbolism only needing to eat at least once a week. But I need help trying to come up with idea for possible evolution and niches it could go into if anyone could help it would be lovely

I really like how they did I it was exactly what I imagined

So in the first photo there's lots of biodiversity but still looking kinda the same but in the other photos there pretty blank because im having a hard time thinking of pressures and ways they could adapt to solve those pressures and how they biologically works also I feel less motivated thinking about it so if anyone could maybe help me make some ideas it would help lottttssssss

The current ecosystem is thriving with bio diversity animals started to occupy there own niches and make there own those blue plants are simple filter feeders but due to their blue bodies they don't get enough to do photosynthesis so they only live just a few days, the little purple balls are also plants that have an exoskeleton made of silvamite similar to a glass sponge (silvamite is a native mineral to the planet) the tree have developed special branches that grow there seeds that are wrapped in a thin layer of silica to help them sink faster but that opened up a new source of food that some animals commonly called "seed diggers" there name describes what they are but there red coloration comes from the red pigments in the seed and evolved specialized chambers to take in the pigments and I'm not explaining everything else because I'm lazy but I very like this

So I know it seems far fetched but it makes sense for the planet

So what happened naturally is a common ancestor developed 2 extra hyoid apparatus from the already existing one a genetic defect but worked out quite well for it. it's frill now opened wider and faster and over a couple million years the frill filled out into a almost perfect circle for more of a display but an accidental adaptation is when falling off the trees they sit and wait in they would open there frill from fear but and it actually slowed there fall but this adaptation continued became more specialized until a mechanism evolved some of the soft and thin inner skin in the back part started to harden but not into a full support structure but more like (▶>) so when there frill opened it would lock into place to stay stable and luckily the planet has 15% less gravity than earth allowing there now ancestors to glide short distance to catch prey. But there's a major down side when gliding they can't see the ground so they have to hope they land in running distance from their prey.

Not everything is probably worked out yet but this is the main idea.

during a catastrophic event most if not all flowers (and other plants they feed on ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) went extinct leaving them no food or Nectar so over millions of years they nearly went extinct but over years of being hatched->eating->metamorphosis->new short life then sadly death but the catapillars started eating other dead bugs but once they metamorphose they could no longer eat the bugs so over millions of years the butterflies changed there naturally orange wings became a dark charcoal grey allowing them to blend in with the burned trees while there exoskeleton started to grow out in a cone like shape in four different segments that can all open into a flower like shape but that's were there new specialized proboscis can shoot out like a bullet to stab prey but also there legs have changed now they can run in short bursts on land to chase prey(ik it's a lot and probs don't make sense but I like it and wanna make more alone side my alien planet project)

The more worm like creatures are descended from one of the first life in there phylom known as vioworms and those tree esk life forms are clustered colanies with a mineral build up shell and those rock formations are smaller thermal vents while the life living on them are from the phylom ventopoda and those star fish like orgisms are spindolores

I was thinking the Irish elk provides a place for the shrikes to build nests and stab there prey on and in return the shrike guides the Irish elk around to easy prey or areas with abundant food sources (I haven't decided on what other genomes I was but ik I'mma add Chinese water deer for fangs and Muntjac for more meat eating but idk what to do for the other but if any ideas on how they work together of what would work for each hybrid please tell me)
