The fins on its back absorbed heat from the vents, helping power its metabolism. It evolved this body shape because food was scarce, visibility was low, and stable movement was necessary for survival.

Stage 2 ; Blind Vent Hunter

As competition increased, some Ventcrawlers evolved into active hunters. They developed sensory tendrils that could detect heat, electricity, and movement in dark water. Their front body became larger and more muscular, allowing them to create powerful suction to capture prey. Larger fins improved swimming speed and control.
