The rest of the outfit will be my kilt (duh) and sporran, belt, Argyll jacket and waistcoat, black shirt and necktie.

I feel like I should leave out the fly plaid.

Thoughts anyone?

Edit: wow! Fast responses! Leaving the fly plaid at home, and didn't know about the belt/waistcoat thing. I may still need to - the belt is what keeps it from falling off - I think that's the greater faux pas.

Hi Wrenchers!

I had to replace the fork (carbon) on my 2015 Cannondale Synapse (aluminum) after a crash (legs sheered right off when I hit the side of the car). After an extensive search, I finally found the part I needed on eBay, but it just doesn't quite fit right. There feels like there's an extra millimetre of so in the headset so I can feel a small rattle over bumps.

I've but them side by side and measured and they're basically the same - the stack height is a lower - 2 rings instead of 1 - the star nut depth is within 1mm of depth between the old and new, plenty for the bolt to cover for.

I'm using the same headset bearings - they appear to be identical, but just to be sure I've tried them in both positions. In all cases, I've put a little weight on the frame, put the bars on, tightened them and the stem cap to the proper torque.

It still rattles though.

I don't have a LBS in my town, so I can't ask them for advice, so here I am...

Has anyone had success mounting racks on the bike above? I'm looking at the frame and I don't see any mounting holes in the rear triangle. How have you done this?
