Dear Seniors, please help me

Hi everyone!

I'm preparing for my first attempt at the UGC NET JRF English Literature (December 2026). Since I'm just starting, I want to choose the right resources instead of getting overwhelmed.

I'd really appreciate your suggestions on:

- The best online coaching for a beginner

- Reliable notes for both Paper 1 and English Literature

- The most useful books (without buying too many)

- YouTube channels or other free resources that genuinely helped

- Any mistakes I should avoid as a first-time aspirant

I'm aiming for JRF, so I'd love recommendations based on your personal experience.

Thank you so much!

Hybrid Classes

Nothing will change; we will have to take hybrid classes. Some professors have stated that we would like to have offline classes, but there aren't enough professors for first-year and second-year students. Du is becoming less appealing.💔

Hybrid Classes MA English

I honestly do not understand why some students prefer hybrid classes in a regular college . We are paying college fees and room fees precisely because we chose to attend a regular college and participate in offline classes. I am one of those students who genuinely values classroom learning and came to Delhi specifically for the experience of studying on campus not to attend classes online from my room.
Even though I am preparing for the NET examination in December, I still want to attend my classes offline. Preparing for an exam should not mean that regular students have to compromise on the classroom experience they enrolled and paid for.

Story of Universities

Three universities were my dreams: Jamia, Du, and JNU. I was accepted to both Jamia and Du, but I didn't enjoy the atmosphere or the instructors there. I felt the same way at Du.

Hybrid Classes Update

The debate over hybrid versus offline classes has divided our student body, as some students prefer a hybrid mode while others want fully offline classes. Many of us chose this college specifically for in-person learning, and it is hard to understand the push for online classes when so many students struggle with poor Wi-Fi and limited data.
And looking at how Jio and Airtel have increased their prices, buying extra data for online classes is becoming too expensive. Going from four regular classes last semester to a split schedule of two online and two offline sessions disrupts our routine.
For those of us living alone in a one BHK apartment in Delhi, campus is our only real chance to connect with classmates and professors. Staying locked inside all day after years of online learning hurts our growth. We believe keeping classes completely offline is essential for our health and studies.

Hybrid Classes

We contacted the office and the HOD, and they said hybrid classes are suitable for us, but we fail to understand how. We have already emailed the respected VC Sir but have received no response.
There are vacant rooms on campus, yet we are being told there is no space. We have only four days of classes, with two online and two offline. Many students from financially weaker backgrounds cannot afford 2 GB of data, and staying focused during online classes is also difficult.
This is the time for all of us to come together and raise our voices for a practical solution.

The Life of a Handicapped Man

We had been dating each other for five years, and I am handicapped by birth(locomotor). We were like good friends with some. good romantic and physical memories, but when she got admission to medical college, she cheated on me and said that no one is going to marry me. It's been three years, but her words still haunt me. I believe that love is something that is made for me.

My story

We met online and spent five years creating a world together. Back then, she was content with me, and my physical limitations didn't matter. However, everything changed when she was admitted to medical college. I saw her with someone else, noticed how easily she replaced me, and realized she had decided my support-aided walk did not fit her new high-status image. When I confronted her, she looked at me and said, "No one will ever marry me," throwing away half a decade of loyalty without hesitation.
Today, I miss how we kissed, her voice, her eyes, and her love.
Now my academic achievements are piling up, and my career is taking off. However, dating is terrifying. If someone who has loved me for five years can cheat, throw everything away for convenience, and leave me with those cruel words echoing in my head, how can I trust anyone else? It feels safer to stay guarded, with the door locked, rather than risk another person calculating my limitations.
