Anyone get “solicitors” knocking on their door?

Drexel hill area. The same two men knocked on my door twice in one day! Said they were trying to help me and asked about my internet service provider. They weren’t wearing uniforms, just regular clothing. They also never revealed what company they were from. Is this a scam? What exactly were they trying to do if I accepted their “internet service provider offer”?

Also I’m not elderly - I heard they target certain demographics.

I have my own bag but still want a provider

I’m so tired of being the “easy going” girl. The low maintenance one. The cheap one. I’m not any of those things - I just don’t ask for anything because I take good care of myself. My maintenance is expensive but I pay for it. I have a good job and I have my own bag 💰

Here’s the thing: I don’t see the point in dealing with a man if they’re not providing something or spoiling me! I guess my question is what do yall do that lets them know they have to spend? Do you just straight up ask for things? Please be kind 🩷🌸 ty

“In a world full of Kardashians, be a Gallagher.” -unknown

I saw this on a tshirt and chuckled to myself. I thought it was cute but on second thought, should we really be aiming for Gallagher status? What does this quote mean to you and would you wear this shirt?

Do yall use “builder gel” on top of your press ons?

What does it do for your nails and what kind do you use? I’m looking on Amazon at Classic French Tip press ons and there are so many comments that mention a top coat or builder gel. I’ve been wearing press ons for years and never did this! How am I just now hearing about this?! 🤣

Retail brand: none

I accepted a position on the promise of a flexibility and work life balance. During the negotiation phase, I specifically stated I’d be willing to accept a lower salary ion exchange for a few conditions. I was promised a full hour lunch break, and 14 PTO days. My boss offered this to me and I accepted. He signed the offer letter and then I signed it.

I got very sick, and called out two days in one week. I told my boss to please use two of my PTO days. long story short, he replied to my PTO request by telling me to read the employee handbook - which stated that I only earn ONE ☝️ PTO day per quarter (4 PTO days per year in total). This was NOT what was stated in the offer letter. When I spoke to him about it, he said “did you really think you were going to get those many days?” I said yes, because you offered it and I agreed to it.

I also negotiated an hour for lunch, as opposed to a half hour. He brought that up and said “do you really think it’s fair that you get an hour for lunch while every one else only gets a half hour?” I told him this is what was negotiated and agreed upon. I truly am at a loss for words.

How do I move forward now? Do I request another meeting? I don’t know what to do, I feel so deceived and unmotivated now…
