To preface, I work at Starbucks. We absolutely hate when customers start ordering before we are ready to greet them.

I noticed when I went to McDonald’s the other day, I was prompted with something along the lines of “what can I get started for you today”, so I started ordering, only to realize it was an automated prompt.

So now I’m curious, what do you guys think of it?

I’m flying out of PHL on Tuesday morning with one of my coworkers for a work trip. He lives significantly further from the airport than I do, and I wanted to get there extra early to relax a bit and find us a good spot to sit.

If I get there early in the morning, and swipe my card in, can I then add him as a guest when he gets there? Or do I need to wait outside the lounge until he gets there?

It’s August 15th and 16th

If REPAYE gets reinstated, I would like to choose that. But if not, the Graduated payment plan seems like the best option for me at the moment. My 90 days starts today, so I have until October 13th to figure out what I’m going to do

I get Brazilian and underarms done. Yesterday, I went hiking and part of the trail had a lot of overgrowth. I did a full search but did not see any ticks on me. I am kind of worried that a tick could have crawled into the Brazilian area and I could have potentially missed it.

If there was a tick there, would the laser kill it? Could it spread lymes disease faster? Is this something I shouldn’t worry about?

I’m the only one at my store who has ever made a unicorn frap before, and no one believes me that the unicorn frap was a special kind of hell-ish frap, and they think it’s going to be just as busy as any other summer release.

For those of you who were around and had to make the drink back then, am I overreacting/misremembering? Or was it actually terrible?

I am a mechanical engineer. I am being asked to make a manual of the user interface and I need to be sure to include all of the software changes that was made. You may ask why isn’t the software engineer who made these changes isn’t updating the manual … and it’s because I am “better at it and will do a good job”. But I don’t need to worry about not having the information, because the software engineer who made the changes will be working with me to ensure I have all the accurate information. All the other engineers are men by the way. So now there will be two engineers working on one manual… one who has nothing to contribute besides formatting. The software engineer is also a guy, and started roughly at the same time I did and is roughly the same age as me. But I don’t need to worry, I was reassured in the email that this is not a punishment, and simply because I will be better [at formatting] than the software engineer.

I’m deleting this later to reduce the risk of someone seeing it; I just needed to vent.

My aunt with bipolar is missing, I had my parents call 911 to try and ping her phone. They said they couldn’t, but dispatched the cops anyway. The cops then did go ahead and ping her phone after reading the note she left (she’s very high risk of harming herself), but the ping came back halfway across the country.

We live on the east coast/mid Atlantic region, and the ping came back as somewhere in Texas. Does that mean she actually went to Texas? Or could a vpn on a phone change the location? I assume you have the same system, how does that work for you? Now there’s a missing vulnerable adult alert out for her… can those alerts span nationwide if she did in fact travel across the country?? (Not sure how she got there either… no car/license/job/money)
