Are all leaders of republics old as fuck or am I just unlucky?

I keep getting 40, 50+ year olds. Surely there are some 25 year old upstarts out there. My rulers die as soon as they upskill to 6/6/6. They ascend into heaven as soon as they become good

You guys told me republics are an easy way to print mana

My leaders keep dying. I have to live with 6 mana total for ages. Hordes are an easy way to print mana

Dolphin not remembering 'Show Full Path' checkbox setting

I set it to checked but as soon as I close the window and open it again, the box is unchecked. Especially bothersome when I'm in a bookmarked 'Place' and its ancestor folders are completely hidden.

Is it temporary for anyone else or just something buggy with my system?

Fifth Monarchists regime and being locked at 100 "Fanatical Zeal". Does that mean dealing with +20 national unrest and +500% stability cost for the rest of the game?

Fellow world-conquering meta gaming pros, do you bother upgrading Kazan Kremlin monument for the reduced Great Project Upgrade Time or not at all

Is there some calculation someone has made where it's concluded that upgrading this monument isn't worth it at all?

I always upgrade it once the two priorities of Malta and Alhambra are sorted out

I guess towards the end of the campaign it no longer matters when you're printing infinite money

Any way to disable 'achievements can no longer be earned' message?

I play on ironman but with mods that prevent achievements being earned, so every time I load the game I have to click past this message. Any way to prevent it from showing up? Don't wanna play in non-ironman cos I can't get used to manually saving. TIA

Is Novgorodian one-culture still possible or am I wasting my time now

I usually play hordes, so I've become frustrated with the lack of mana able to be pulled from thin air as well as the slug-like speed of my armies, but more to the point: I hardly play republics so I thought I would give Novgorod a go. I need to get the provinces that provide a bonus missionary like Rome, Mecca etc but most of Europe has formed a coalition against me so now I'm declaring war immediately after truces, even when I'm not ready, and at the same time I'm debt-spiralling from interest payments and I don't want to declare bankruptcy because then I can't go to war for 5 years.

I can afford to culture-convert provinces but the main bottleneck is religious conversion. It's way too slow, so I routinely have no provinces left to culture-convert.

Will I be able to pull it off? I can get Mecca but I can't afford to upgrade the Jerusalem monument for +1 extra missionary. If I do that then I will have to declare bankruptcy and deal with the 5 years lost. Basically I can't stop declaring war because otherwise more countries (like Spain) will join the coalition and make it much bigger (it's twice the size of me at the moment).

Is it futile to attempt a one-culture as a republic?

-98% core-creation cost as Russia

Ignore the war exhaustion number.

This is the highest (or lowest, whichever way you look at it) I've seen and I'm not Hindu or the Emperor of China, so theoretically it can go even higher. The wiki says that it's capped at 80% anyway.

Need Austria tips. I've subjugated many countries but my industry and army is so tiny that it can't fight against Italy and German Reich at the same time. Is Austria just fucked no matter what?

In-person groups. I never know what to do when I'm there

Anyone here attend social groups for autistic people? It's like one big room with people sat at tables chatting between each other. No specific topic, just a general social group. I have no clue how to talk with others while there and what to talk about. I feel like I'm too different from NTs to socialise in hobby-centred groups though, even if they provide something to talk about

Low player numbers for latest Katamari game on Steam

Tell me this isn't a bad thing, right? 😭 Maybe there are higher player counts on other platforms. I feel like it's a shame that a game as good as the latest release hovers around only 30-40 players lately

Which way should the PSU be positioned (fan-up, or fan-down)?

My PC can only be placed on the floor and I saw in a video some advice about having the PSU placed with the fan at the top if the PC will be on a floor, so that it doesn't end up sucking in dirt and dust from the floor. I have it positioned like that now, but I'm having doubts about what the PSU fan is doing now, whether it is affecting air currents and harming other components, etc. So I wonder if the only simple answer is to place the PSU fan-down anyway, regardless of whether the PC will be on a floor or not.
