My DT Haul -I went overboard

I live in Manhattan, my closest DT is undergoing renovations, so I decided to travel to the Brooklyn Fulton street location to grab stuff, as they usually have a lot of stuff. I originally was going to go to a few DTs, but the heat was so awful, that I went there and took the train back.

I went a little bananas. This was the first time I spent $40+ in a DT.

I finally got my hands on the Dermasil cleanser. I thought I bought two 😭 also bought the Dermasil Diabetic skin care lotion, GBC Vitamin C glow eye brightening cream with turmeric, GBC cleansing daily face wash, and so much more!
I just moved, I couldn’t which sink strainer would work for my sink, and thought for $1.25, buy both. And I was thrilled to find the parchment paper air fryer liners. Last time I saw them, they weee in TJ maxx and were over $10!

I was able to score both Pacifica sprays. One was with skin care, and the other was by hair care.

It was so fun shopping there. At one point, I and two other ladies were trading recommendations on what to buy. Which is why I ended up with two versions of the niacinamide!

Can anyone recommend good thift stores for curtains and home goods?

Hey all! Ex-Long Islander here, and am now in the city. I've been doing some research, but I can't seem to find information on any thrift stores on LI that have a decent selection of home stuff -- not necessarily furniture, more like curtains, drapes, home decor.
I just moved and need to cover up a HUGE window in my living room!
I had read somewhere that there are good thrift stores in Hempstead and West Hempstead, but I don't know their names. If you know what I'm talking about, could you please let me know?
I'll be taking the LIRR back to LI, and will use buses to get around from thrift store to thrift store.

Thanks in advance

Hey! Does Anyone Need a Pet/Plant/House Sitter from Jun 14 or 15 through 22?

Hey all! Just signed a lease. YAY! Unfortunately, I can't get into my apartment until Jun 22. I've checked Airbnb, but due FIFA, the prices are insane.
I'm an ex-pet sitter with consistently 5-star reviews on Rover. I've taken care of dogs and cats all my life. I wondered if anyone here needed someone to pet-sit or house-sit for them while they are away. I'm happy to share my LinkedIn profile, personal references etc.,
I work remotely, so I can change the litter box immediately, and/or walk your puppo as many times as needed.
I'm happy to answer any questions you may have, and thank you ahead of time.

My Mini Haul

Long time listener, first time caller!!
I’ve been lurking in this sub for a while. I’ve been reading everyone’s recommendations and warnings.

I bought a few things before, but my local DT doesn’t have a lot of the goodies you’ve all found.

Today, I traveled a bit, and snagged this haul. I was thrilled to find both the Dermasil serum and whipped recovery cream.
I couldn’t decide on which mascara to pick, so I bought both! I got the Clean Beauty B Pure Mascara and the Le Mercerie thickening and volumizing mascara. I found the b pure lamination brow set . No idea how to use it, but why not!
I’m getting into pink lipstick so I grabbed two

Someone here raved about the shave oil -never used it, but when I saw it in the store , I grabbed it.

Couldn’t believe I found the Palmers lip balm.

Has anyone used the spa scentials retinol body oil?
I found hair oil!! My hair frizzes in the summer-excited to try it.

All in all, I spent $23 US for all of this. It If I had gone to chain beauty store - you know what I’m talking about. That $23 might have covered half the cost for a serum!!!

Has anyone rented from A N Shell Realty

I saw an apartment today, and while the apartment was nice, something seemed off. I'd rather be cautious than get scammed. So...I'm wondering if anyone here has rented a place from them, and how was the experience?

TIA
