Felt like it would never get here...

It's going to be a good week...

My routine for these books: Load up a Playlist for the soundtrack https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_2m5sLOhDdu3PLkshR0tZ6rHCAOvn8qb&si=aXdVHs1LMif24kZJ (or start playing the show) and listen to it in the background. Get some sticky colored bookmark tags and split them up into:

Character design

Vehicle design

Environment design

Keyframes

Then I find the names of the artists and add them all to my socials of they're not there already. These books make me so happy.

Japanese maple spots

Are these spots just from sun stress? It's a mostly shaded tree.

Pick Spielberg's best 3 Acts

Just saw Disclosure Day.

It made me think of how it fits into his lexicon. If we broke them into separate pieces, what do you think are his best 3 acts?

My picks are:

I: Saving Private Ryan

II: Jaws

III: Jurassic Park

Got a job, stopped filing claims, new letter says I need to schedule with WorkSource. Can I skip this?

Let me know if you need more details. Should I message ESD on the site to give them more info or do I need to schedule this regardless of not using UE funds any more?

Work Source Auburn is not picking up the phone.

Who is this person? (upcoming Saturday matinee)

I can't understand this psychology but I'm intrigued. I don't want to give too many exact details but this is for an upcoming Saturday matinee.

I love movies with a deep, enduring passion but you couldn't pay me to buy this ticket to my most favorite franchise's first night release.

Experiences with antiviral creams?

What brands did people use, and what experiences did they have with them? Mine's by my eye so I'm assuming I can't use any.

1 day in, took first valACYclovir 1g tablet 30min ago

Will call the eye clinic Monday. Trying to avoid reading up on too many horror stories so my stress doesn't get worse.

Decided against the anti-histamine cream since it's so close to my eye. Was this the right choice??

What's the right treatment for this 'frosty'-looking bush?

Sorry, I don't know what kind of bush this is, but it's starting to look "frosty" in certain places. How serious is it and what's the next step to handle it? We're in zone 8, this area gets lots of shade and irrigation.

How to teach and enforce boundaries

My kids are always sneaking things, like going into our bathroom and taking my wife's makeup and nail supplies. It drives us nuts. Taking away iPads only goes so far. There's so much disrespect and it feels like it's infected everything here. Help!

Bug ID help

Just doing my due diligence as a first time homeowner here: a couple black ants have been seen inside. They're carpenter ants, right? The head size is throwing me off a bit. I can't tell where they're coming from exactly yet but it's probably the greenbelt behind us; I just couldn't find any in the backyard. I would love recommendations on treating them.

On our front side, there are several brown ant hills by our curb stop valve that are very active every year. I just rebought some Tarro liquid ant bait stakes and put them right by the hills. Anyone have better recommendations for this? I don't have a good sense yet of what types of food sources to use as things heat up here, especially since they're different types of ants.

I really appreciate people's time and help with this. Thanks in advance.

How are you teaching your kids to be business minded or money conscious?

I think about this a lot. So much of modern life keeps people on the rat race or obsessed with appearance. What are you doing with your kids that you think will give them an advantage with their future? My kids seem to really fight me on "responsibility talks" and I need to mix up my approach.

How to switch to local work?

Ideally I'd stay remote but I want to see what options are good nearby that can help fund my job search until I land the next good remote role. I haven't been here long so I don't have a list of employers to start crossing off. What recs do people have for finding local work after being remote?
