‼️WARNING‼️ contact derm!!!

just a reminder to properly educate yourself on nail care before you start trying to do your own gel at home. if you don't, you might just end up like me every time you get gel anywhere close to your fingers.

signs of contact dermatitis for me- it starts with severe itching around the nails, including the fingertips, then moves into tiny bubble-like blisters all across the fingertips to the knuckle, then super dry flaky skin, then the blisters pop and scab, and you get what you see above.

be gentle with your nails and don't be stupid like me haha ❤️

[Routine Help] starting adapalene (differin), what should i know?

hi! i've just started my skin cycling journey and i want some input on my current routine:

night 1: adapalene
- double cleanse (ma:nyo oil cleanser & ma:nyo foaming cleanser)
- pat dry and wait 10 mins, then apply adapalene
- moisturize w/ cerave moisturizing cream
- top with jojoba oil

night 2: exfoliate
- double cleanse
- the ordinary glycolic acid toner (patting in)
- cerave moisturizing cream
- jojoba oil

night 3: rest
- double cleanse
- the ordinary hyaluronic acid while skin is still wet
- cerave moisturizing cream
- jojoba oil

i use spf 50 during the day and don't cleanse, just apply spf and moisturizer.

how does this look? any tips?

my first drosera!

she's here! i have her in a 4 inch wide 6 inch deep trayed pot with 1.5 inches of reverse osmosis water in the tray. she's in a mix of peat moss and perlite (and a little of what she was shipped in). she's under a direct LED grow light and will be for 8-10 hours a day.

should i expect her to get bigger? she's about the size of a dollar coin right now.

anything niche i should know about besides the stuff i can easily research? any secret tips?

wish me luck! i love her already :)

looking to bulk up my TBR

lit fic is my favorite genre! i just finished chlorine by jade song (4.75 ⭐️) and* piranesi by susanna clarke (5⭐️), and am currently reading wor*ry by alexandra tanner (im only about 30 pages in but it's so slice of life and is totally up my alley so far). what else can i read that's similar? i like books about women doing stuff..... with little to no romance. what does reddit say?
