Why doesn’t Henri Paul get more blame for Diana’s death?

One thing I’ve noticed from some people’s accounts of the terrible accident is that Henri Paul is kind of a minor detail. Charles Spencer said in his recent book that he thought the media was lying about how drunk he actually was.

But from everything I’ve read, Henri Paul was the last person that should’ve been driving that car. Diana’s friends, family, and other close associates never acknowledge that. Why is that?

City's plan to making parking lots safer raised concerns from donor

“Cincinnati leaders are considering new ordinances to increase security in parking lots since most gun thefts come from parked cars.

Proposed security measures include better lighting, cameras, and barriers, but parking lot owners have raised concerns about the cost.

Multiple versions of the ordinance exist, with debates over whether to require cameras and fences for all lots or just garages.”

Deal will curb daily Kroger headquarters protest vexing neighbors

Cincinnati Councilman Mark Jeffreys has been trying to broker a solution for weeks. In an Aug. 17 letter he sent to the group’s president, Sharon Nunez, he outlined the deal he said the group agreed to.

The protests will now take place between 2 and 5 p.m., and the protesters will not use sirens, horns, whistles or other amplified noise. People can use megaphones with their natural voices and no amplification.

“That all strikes a very careful balance – protecting your right to protest … but also ensuring that those who live, work or are visiting the Court Street area are also able to live in peace,” Jeffreys' letter said.

“Animal Equality … has a First Amendment right to protest, and that is a sacred right. We do not want to do anything to undermine that but rather address the overbearing noise."

Nunez told the Business Courier the group simply wants a meeting with Kroger to come up with a timetable to phase out eggs that come from caged chickens. Other major retailers, including Target and Costco, have agreed and are implementing such a timetable. She said she did not expect Jeffreys to make the agreement public and called on him to help Animal Equality get a meeting with Kroger.
