Help? Hair looks amazing right after styling but never lasts

Recently discovered I have wavy hair! Granted, I made this discovery in the most humid part of summer, which isn’t doing my any favors.

My routine since I’ve started styling my waves:

  1. Shampoo and conditioner with L’oreal gloss
  2. Scrunch WET hair with Cake Curl Mousse.
  3. Scrunch again with NYM curl gel.
  4. In the first pic, I diffused dry. Second pic is air dry.

Within a few hours or after sleeping it just looks like a frizzy mess.

I think I have 2a or 2b hair. Last pic is BEFORE realizing I have wavy hair and what it would look like after brushing it dry.

Training question

You hear that rottweilers require a confident leader. The term "dominant" gets thrown around, even. Well, I'm a 5'5 lady on the petite side and while I'm confident and consistent, I'm not a physically intimidating person.

My girl is currently 3.5 months old and we train multiple hours a day. She listens SO well, but I know the teenage phase is coming. I've read a book on training rottweilers, and multiple books on training dogs in general, so I'm not completely uneducated on this topic, but I want to hear from others' personal experience.

Do I really need to start getting stern with her/have a domineering training style? I'm very much a praise-focused, affectionate owner, and that's easy while she's a pup. It's not my natural style to yell, although I can absolutely be the more stubborn one when it's required.

Will my girl still listen to me when she's older and she can physically pull me/overpower me/etc? How do I communicate with her that I'm the "boss" when she is stronger?

I need a break - my memory loss caused an embarrassing moment last night

I’ve been hitting my pen 1-2 times daily for a few months. I notice when I’m actively high, my short term memory is SHIT. I constantly lose things, forget what I was just doing, etc.

But last night I was mostly sober after not having smoked since earlier in the day, and went to a girls dinner. I turned to a friend (don’t see her that often) and asked if she’s been seeing anyone lately. Now this girl has been in a relationship for two years and I have met him. At first when I asked everyone was like “girl what?!” And I genuinely didn’t understand the reaction. Then as soon as they said his name it all came flooding back. I felt insane.

Anyway I need to take a break. I don’t like not feeling sharp.

Did your memory improve eventually?

Can we all go report this account please?

They post a different Rottweiler every day and are clearly pulling on heart strings to karma farm.

Her name is Junie but more than anything we call her Jupie, or Jupie-Dupie 😅

So much for the sweet girl name. These nicknames come out of nowhere!

Hobby hopping...

I get bored easily. I get SUPER into a hobby for a few weeks then burn out..but I always come back to it! I've learned to stop being disappointed in myself over these cycles and instead embrace them. What have you been into lately? What have you fallen off of?

How to be prepared for the shark/demon phase 😭 my pup is 8wks old

I’ve had my 8-week-old female rottie for almost a week(she’ll be 9wks soon). So far she’s been the embodiment of a perfect angel. She sleeps in her kennel and I set two alarms for potty breaks and she goes right back sleep when she’s done relieving herself. She naps without protesting. I feed her all her kibble through training and she knows sit, down, stay, kennel, “go chill” (this is our version of place), paw, and heel. She doesn’t know them all perfectly obviously but when she’s working for food she’s pretty damn close!

I have read soo many stories about puppy blues and how bad it can get. What are things I can do now and keep doing to be prepared for the teenage phase and all the chaos?! I can already tell I’m going to miss my angel if it’s as bad as they say 😭

Brought Junie home two days ago and she’s been an angel. Demon phase loading lol

After reading all the puppy books and Rottweiler training needs and anticipating her for many weeks, I am so happy to finally have her! She already knows sit and down and has only had two accidents in 48hrs. We both will be learning a lot :)

Main character

Yes I fully see myself as the main character of my life. BUT I never expect anyone else to view me that way. In fact I want everyone else to treat themselves like their own main character. You do you, I’ll do me.

Anyone else feel this way as a sag?

Dom's law petition - I just singed this petition to prevent murderer's from profiting on social media off of their crime and fame.

After watching "The Crash" on Netflix I got interested in the case that occurred in Strongsville Ohio where a teenage girl killed two victims by driving at 98 mph into a building because she was volatile and homicidal/suicidal. She ended up surviving and is now living her social-media obsessed life in prison, making brand deals, and making money from her infamy. One of the victim's sisters is putting forth this petition to create "Dom's Law" (Dom is the name of her brother) to prevent murderers from profiting off crimes.

I just want to tell someone how excited I am

I get my rottie puppy (a girl) in one month. I have been waking up at like 5 AM every day because she is all I can think about. I talk to her at home all the time as if she is already here. I am reading multiple books on how to train dogs and puppies and I just can't wait to give her the best life and raise a well-mannered citizen!! She is going to be my walking and hiking buddy (once she is of age). AHHHHH I CANT WAIT!!!!

I've had my boy for his whole life and while we are extremely bonded, I never taught him any tricks. One thing to note is that I've never been able to teach him to step up onto my finger, only a chopstick. When I try with my finger, he bites me. He rides around on my shoulder and is comfortable being close to my face no problem.

He is treat motivated. He knows some basic commands like "come here" (will fly to his chopstick) and "step up."

What are some easy tricks to start training him on?

This is silly, I know, but my heart is set on a Rottweiler. I finally found an amazing breeder who checks all the green flag boxes, but I keep getting hung up on some photos of the parents. First pic is mama. I always wanted a rottie with a more tan muzzle. She also looks a little whacky in that photo 😅 second pic is dad who brings the tan.

The third pic is mama nursing and she looks so cute to me there.

Last pic it looks like the pups have a nice tan.

My main concern was scouting out a dog that didn’t have too much of a scrunched nose/short snout. I don’t like that look and it’s not as healthy.

For experienced rottie owners, do these doggos look bred well? My gut is saying go for it!!
