I think I read this between 2009 and 2016 but all I can find are recent books, and it's definitely not Carrie. IIRC it ends with a split vote but the popular girl ends up crowned after a long campaign to discredit the other girl, and I distinctly remember the ending where she expects the tiara will be made of metal but "It is plastic" and it showcases how she clawed her way to the top for nothing at all.

It was not The Real Prom Queens of Westfield High.

If anyone is able to talk to any of the band, can someone ask them if Dr. Wily named the sniper robots "Joe" like the games' Sniper Joe, ideally with proof?

It's been passed around the fandom as canon for decades at this point per 'a band member said x' but for the life of me I can't remember who first said it, or where! I have vague memories of the Gambler telling me in person a while back but that was a WHILE ago and I don't have any present-day proof since the Comm's closure.
