I'm the most successful trans woman from [insert 3rd world country]

I'm lucky to be born to rich parents who could afford to send me to the US where I started taking HRT at 19 :D Now I'm almost 30 and pass as a normal girl and get to do what I want!

What? There are trans women in my home country who are pretty rich and take part in electoral politics? And there are trans women who've transitioned at an early age and have integrated into the cishet society? Preposterous! All the trainknee- I mean trans women back at home are just useless beggars who extort us riches for money!

/uj actual convo with an NRI trans woman. The condition of trans people in India is garbage, but to think that the USA is heaven compared to it, especially in 2026, is bogus. Also I hate how western-pilled trans people just ignore the rich trans, *kothi, hijra, and kinnar* histories of South Asia

I never desired wanting to be cis.

I have almost always wanted to be a man. I am now a man. I may not have dick and balls but I'm a man nonetheless, no one really cops a feel of your bulge to check your manhood.

Being trans means I earn less than my cis school and uni mates. Being trans means I may never find a spouse. I know. I'm still struggling with it.

But I have this sense of satisfaction and understanding of self that I don't think can ever happen if I were cisgender. I am in certain communities, both irl and online, where I can share solidarity with people just because we have similar journeys and realisations. I think I like waking up every day and actively choosing my reality, not letting what silly factors like my "AGAB" tell me who I should be.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm a fake trans bc I don't wish to be a **cis** man. But then I remember my panic attacks from being forced to wear anything fem and my genuine disgust at my chest.

TLDR NTA tran great

trans people I know irl use genAI as a gender affirming tool and I think I'm a bad person for opposing it

a lot of my trans acquaintances have fed their images to Chatgpt or Gemini to generate images of them with gender affirming features. They've told me they do it because "at least in the world of AI I have a sexy hourglass figure/I look like I can musclemog Clavicular/my 5 o'clock shadow is gone/I look like a man cis women would desire."

I've told them many times that genAI can be weaponised to make NCI images of them, offered temporary and permanent dysphoria alleviating options, told about the environmental effects of genAI and datacenters; yet they insist genAI is the best as it's free unlike the other options.

Am I being transphobic by being pro-environment?

EDIT: I don't have an issue with trans people editing their photos or using old school snapchat filters. I just don't want trans people to feed their selves into a predatory environment destroying machine.

met work acquaintance after a couple months. she has started girlmoding and taking E in the meanwhile, and she was literally glowing.

y'all, the most depressed looking person ever to the happiest person alive trans meme is real and I saw it today. most of my coworkers started transitioning long ago so I couldn't see this change in them + my dysphoric ass barely has any pics of self. I'm also glad that she's currently in a safe space to do so.

ex catfished me only to tell me he's being treated like royalty by his new partner and that someone as fat and ugly as me can't "afford to be a chooser". chicken strips that are making me feel worse bc he's right.

I was constantly fatshamed by my ex and his friends. When they kept going on rants about how they love being skinny and hot, I started crying; only to be told that I'm an egocentric maniac. Recently developed an eating disorder "of the right kind", and seeing the number go down on the weight scale is the only positive in my life. I hate that he's right. No one likes fat trans men, unless they're chasers or creeps. And that I should let myself be abused bc being abused by someone is better than being lonely for someone like me.

how it feels to see the people who were in your life give others the love you begged them for

I hate seeing that my exes are in loving relationships when I begged them to love me and they said I was unlovable. I hate seeing family members chilling and being cordial to each other when they have been nothing but abusive to me. Is it a sin to ask for love?

I love working with trans people who celebrate variety in transness

Eternally grateful that I get to work with leftist trans people who focus on all facets of trans history.

Sometimes I feel both angry and ashamed that my older transfem coworkers had to survive being thrown trash at them daily just because they were openly trans in the 90s. I hope my work can ensure that no one will face that ever again.

also lowk wanna get ice cream rn

we need more grounded and bit hopecore discussions about being trans.

What it says on the label. For every nart and tgcj post I see on my feed, I get 10 posts from subs like trollcoping talking about how being trans is a "sickness I won't wish on anyone else" or "I should kms my body has been ruined". For quite a few of them, they frequent subs like 4t4 and I can tell a bit of their brainworms is from there.

I wish we could have grounded convos. I wish we could let every trans person freely access DIY HRT and let them be in spaces with other trans people with varied experiences. We don't need "ropefuel", we need hopefuel.

I also think subs like traa can be a bit too cheesy and cutesy at times, esp with the "uwu blahaj and knee socks" memes, although they've slowed down a bit.

We need trans communities that don't revolve around "uwu hecking valid" or "ngmi hon hon baguette" shit. nart is a start for that, but we need to expand. and as I've advocated for in other posts, we need more non-Western, non-white voices. In India the 4tran stuff doesn't fly, but we have different brainworms.

the gay community has a problem, here are the problematic people:

- right wing gays

- THOSE ANNOYING TRANSES WHO BEG ON THE STREET AND DRESS UP IN REVEALING DRESSES. WHEN PEOPLE HEAR "GAY" THEY THINK OF THOSE UGLY HONS WHO ARE A NUISANCE EVERYWHERE. THEY ARE THE REASON PEOPLE THINK A NORMAL MAN CAN'T BE GAY, FUCK YOU TRAINKNEE FREAK

uj/ my fault for checking a local gay "activist" 's page, I only translated what they said

who needs bigots with trans people like this

I'm literally fuming for the past few hours. I saw a post of a trans woman who's a trans and hijra activist here talk about how she's conducting meetings so that all the immigrant transes are kicked out of India to save India's transes.

She's not alone.

She has supporters.

A lot of trans people in my country believe that people from neighbouring countries are illegally immigrating and "pretending to be trans" to "steal benefits from the real transes". What. The. Fuck. How are cis people able to see what bs this is but trans women can't?

You think being a fascist will let you live while all the leftist trans people are forced to convert, die, or detransition? WRONG. RSS will eat your face too, and don't come to the "libtard" transes to help you then, because almost all of us will be in jail or in graves.

Shame. All trans women in India who are putting up the holy trans tricolour next to the garish orange just for a fat paycheck will be forced to answer for your fascism.

It rubs me the wrong way when I see a video of a trans woman talking about something serious and a lot of the top comments are just "love your makeup omg"

I'm sure the commenters mean no harm and almost all of the trans women creators probably see it as boosting the algo, but is there really nothing else you can say? Not even a "great video, will add my thoughts later"?

The cynical part of my brain thinks that these commenters inadvertently demand a "proper" gender presentation from trans women creators. CiblesGD keeps getting misgendered when she uses her facecam in videos/streams despite having "she/her" mentioned everywhere because she doesn't stream in full glam and doesn't have a hyperfem voice.

Tbh I've seen this with almost all fem presenting youtubers, but with trans women it's amplified x10000. I don't watch many trans men youtubers, but I don't think I've seen people comment "omg your beard looks so good" or "looking so handsome" under a Jammiedodger or an Alexander Avila video.

these are my two cents as a trans guy, please correct me if I said something wrong.

smol amd full of rage (oc)

Long time lurker, first time poster. Met this loudmouth on my walk today (mama and sibling were nearby, but they hid when I approached).

Unfortunately I'm in no place to adopt or foster kitties, and I do not know if TNR practices exist in India. I do wish that all the stray kitties here get good quality of life, but that's financially impossible for almost all feline lovers here :(

Please feel free to delete this post if it doesn't fit the sub, but I'm asking this for a work project. All voices welcome, but I prefer non-white and non-Western perspectives.

What according to you causes gender dysphoria? Is it purely organic? A specific gene/mutation? Something in our DNA? Or is it purely social? A result of one's life and upbringing?

My answer is that it... happens. We don't know why but it doesn't matter. We don't know how the Big Bang happened, but we accept that it happened (we have proof of it thanks to CMB) and work in cosmology accordingly. That doesn't make the Big Bang any less real, same with gender dysphoria.

I want to know your answer. You can use papers, books, and anecdotes to substantiate your answer but it should be /your/ answer.

If you're wondering why my work is about this, I'm working with a prominent trans activist and she has given me this homework. Addendum question to this- why do you think transitioning helps with dysphoria? (I have my answer, I'm willing to hear yall)
