What do you say, Percy?
I am thinking
of sitting out on the sand to watch
the moon rise. It’s full tonight.
So we go

and the moon rises, so beautiful it
makes me shudder, makes me think about
time and space,
makes me take
measure of myself: one iota
pondering heaven.

Thus we sit, myself
thinking how grateful I am for the moon’s
perfect beauty
and also, oh! how rich
it is to love the world.

Percy, meanwhile,
leans against me and gazes up
into my face. As though I were just as wonderful
as the perfect moon.

The honeymoon period of school rules has come to a close. Energy levels are an all time high due to the class’s level of comfort with eachother. They’ve gotten so comfortable with us (their teachers) that they feel more free expressing their emotions (tantrums over small things) and boundary testing… is surely testing.

I love your kids to death, and I love my job, but I also can’t wait to get home and lay on my couch every day this time of year. I hope you all understand and can empathize if your kids teachers look a little more run down in the Spring. Even if they’re young, this can be a tough job some days.

Ortho said surgery is not needed... I feel like it is, but can't pin-point why aside from my recessed jaw I grew up with from being a mouth breather. Jaw clicks and it's sore pretty often. I currently have a chin implant placed that you can see in this x-ray.

Does this x-ray reveal anything that could get this surgery covered by insurance? Does my airway look alright?
