Hello fellow Nun lovers, I started a SoB army a while ago and bought some various kits, but now I want to expand it a bit to have a functional 2K army, or even more, to have variety in the force.

I stumbled upon a larger wad of cash (~650 euros) and want to spend it on this army, so I need your help deciding what's worth it. And I know rule-of-cool blah blah, but I like to buy units that are at least usable in-game and then look at what's cool.

So what I own so far:

• Celestine (and her 2 pals)
• Morvenn Vahl
• a unit of Celestian Insidiants
• Armageddon box (the sisters one hehe)

What I'm 100% going to buy:

• Combat Patrol 9th ed
• Combat Patrol 10th ed
• a unit of Celestian Sacresants

That leaves me with around ~380 euros. I'm thinking of getting a few tanks, the Castigator, and one or both of the church organ ones. But I don't really know what's "good" or what people are running these days.

Hey, so I've been prepping for an upcoming teams event and originally planned on taking EC since early on this looked like it was going to be the "Melee Edition"... but after seeing the power level the T'au are on, my teammates convinced me to switch over and play Tau.

So since my attention for the last 2 weeks has been set on the Emperor's Children, I'm kinda out of the loop on how a banger list would look for us. I'd appreciate any kind of help. I'm thinking Mont'ka. Thanks!

Hey, simple question, would you leave your corporate job of 3 years, where you're outsourced to a giant fintech corporation, to go to a smaller (~50 employee) company where you'd be outsourced to another giant corp to work on MGM+?

The pay at the new place would be a tad higher, but with bonuses it could be significantly higher (emphasis on could).

Some pros and cons:
+ New people, new project, after 3 years my current tasks have become pretty boring.
+ Closer office, could go to more social events and in case of a hybrid system I wouldn't be stuck without options.
+ They have a 13th salary bonus and profit sharing, which would make my yearly income significantly higher than it is currently.
+ Smaller company means less bureaucracy and faster decisions.
+ They invest in onboarding, office visit with accommodation and transport covered.
+ My current client is heavily pushing for AI usage in daily work…
- Streaming doesn't feel as complex or as transferable long-term as fintech.
- Bonuses are never guaranteed, so the "could be significantly higher" part is doing a lot of heavy lifting.
- Smaller company means less job security if a big client walks away.
- Probationary period and general instability that comes with switching.

What would you do? Please share your advice.

Salutare crabii mei. Am o dilemă și aș avea nevoie de opinia voastră.

Eu lucrez deja de ~3 ani la o plantație, n-o să zic numele dar e infamous în acest subreddit. Salariul e bunicel, deși în 3 ani am primit doar 450 lei mărire :)). Proiectul e super lejer, maxim bag 6-8 ore pe săptămână, deci pentru munca depusă sunt plătit mai mult decât decent tbh. Lucrez remote, stau cam la ~400km de București. Problema e că n-am nicio perspectivă de creștere, și cel mai probabil voi rămâne pe proiectul ăsta până se termină. Dacă se întâmplă ceva, cu contract virtual, primul pe cutting board sunt eu. Plus am auzit că vor ca la un punct dat TOȚI să mergem înapoi la birou, ceea ce pentru mine ar fi o problemă mare.

Acum, în octombrie-noiembrie anul trecut am dat câteva runde de interviuri la o companie mai mică din provincie, dar discuția s-a terminat abrupt după ce au zis că proiectul pe care angajau a picat. Fast forward to azi, au revenit, proiectul e din nou activ și mi-au trimis ofertă.

Oferta e cam slăbuță ca mărire, undeva la 9-10% față de acum, dar au și un bonus de un salariu la Crăciun, ceea ce pune mărirea efectivă la cam 18%. Plus au și un fel de profit sharing pe care încă nu îl înțeleg exact. La actualul job n-am auzit în viața mea de bonusuri, deci per total e mai okay decât pare la prima vedere. Singurul semn de întrebare e workload-ul, nu știu la ce să mă aștept.

Aș vrea o schimbare pentru că munca pe proiect a devenit plictisitoare, dar nu știu dacă momentul e potrivit. Plus, acum lucrez în Fintech, care în opinia mea e una dintre industriile mai bune. Dar lucrând de acasă și stând la sute de km de București nu prea am contact cu colegii sau cu lumea în general, iar cu noul job aș fi la cam 100 de km, ceea ce mi-ar lăsa opțiunea să merg săptămânal la birou, să mai întâlnesc oameni și poate să prind și câte un teambuilding sau ceva social, că la actualul job nu avem efectiv nimic de genul.

Voi ce ați face? Mă gândesc la trei variante:
- Accept oferta nouă.
- Folosesc oferta ca leverage pentru o mărire de ~20% la actualul job.
- Vorbesc cu cei de la proiect că vreau să plec și încerc să mă angajeze direct la ei.

Orice opinie e binevenită, chiar și un simplu ce ați face voi în locul meu.

Hello, I need help with a 1.5k list to beat my cocky friend who plays Thousand Sons. I got him into the game like 6 months ago and now after grasping the rules and his army he won most of his games in an escalation league. So I want to knock him back a bit towards reality because the ppl he won against were noobs like him.

So I want a list that will make him suffer a bit. Thanks

I'm debating whether to take my Emperor's Children or T'au to an upcoming local tournament, which will also serve as a qualifier for a team event later in June. So this mini-tournament will be held on the 6th of June, so I have a month to prepare. I have around 3000-3500 points of both factions, they're pretty well stocked with multiple staple units, maybe the EC are in better shape since they don't have as many unit types as the T'au so I have 2x/3x of almost every unit.

The team event will be held after the launch of 11th edition and will use the new rules, so I can't really go off of which army is "better" because no one knows yet, but seeing all the leaks and reveals, maybe melee will be better.

I'm quite lost, I still have to pump like 150-200 euro into either army to bring them to "meta" levels. And the team event will be WTC so I have to finish the list to a battle-ready standard. Sooo I have almost 2 months for this. That's why I'm asking for more input since I have to start painting and buying right now to build up till June.
