3.18/4 GPA at a Top 30 School - Am I Cooked for 2027 Recruiting?

I’m graduating in 2027 double majoring in CS + Economics. My GPA is around a 3.18/4.0 which honestly feels terrible compared to everyone around me in business school sitting at 3.7–3.9+.

The thing is, I’ve actually done solid internships already at global and regional banks and have experience across finance/investing, but I still feel behind because recruiting seems so GPA-focused. Sometimes it feels like the CS coursework and double major hurt me more than helped me.

Now I’m stressed about whether I should:

* keep pushing for IB/finance recruiting
* pivot more toward tech/startup roles
* focus heavily on networking
* try for grad school in Europe
* or just completely rethink my path

I know a 3.18 isn’t the end of the world, but online it feels like everyone has insane GPAs, insane internships, insane everything.

Has anyone here been in a similar situation and still ended up okay? What would you realistically focus on from now until 2027?

Chase CTR Reporting as International student

I’m an international student and just received a Chase warning letter saying my cash activity “appears designed to avoid CTR reporting” and that continued activity could lead to account closure.

I’m confused because I was not intentionally structuring anything.

Most of the activity was:
- cash deposits around the start of the semester
- friends paying me back
- splitting bills where one person pays first and everyone settles later

I do not regularly make cash deposits every week, and I was not trying to keep deposits under any limit.

How do banks actually determine this?

Do they just flag patterns automatically even if the activity is legitimate?

Avoid heavy lunches during study sessions

Something I’ve noticed: eating a heavy lunch in the middle of a study session makes me feel groggy, slow, and less focused.

What works better for me is eating properly before studying, then keeping it light while I’m locked in. I’ll sip water, juice, or something with electrolytes instead of having a big meal and then trying to study right after.

Not saying you should skip meals or starve yourself, but if you’re trying to stay sharp for a long study session, avoiding a proper lunch can make a big difference.

Has anyone else noticed this?

My WHOOP 5.0 one-year plan ends on May 11. I recently bought a new WHOOP to use the CHASE credit, but I didn’t realize the credit could also be applied to renewal.

Now my current plan still expires on May 11, but the new band will not arrive until May 17.

The confusing part is that I ordered the new WHOOP using the same account/email as my existing WHOOP account, but the new device/plan does not seem to have enrolled or extended my current membership yet.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Will WHOOP support be able to apply the new purchase/credit to my current account so I don’t lose my streak?

Any advice on what I should do before May 11 would be appreciated.
