Update: she died

She went into cardiac arrest multiple times. They tried bringing her back multiple times but her blood was too acidic and she was too far weak and gone to pull through. She was only 32 years old.

Nothing feels real

Sitting in a hospital waiting room on the 4th of July

Q had her second seizure from drinking withdrawals and being unable to stop vomiting after another binge. Police told me to go to the hospital. I'm just sitting here waiting with no clue what's going on while my friends and family are enjoying the 250th.

If I get to go home tonight my bedroom is covered in vomit, so I'll be sleeping on the couch once again.

If she comes out of this okay she needs to be section 35d which means I have to coordinate that with one of her family members. Sure won't be forgetting this 4th of July ever...

Oh my god it's the shrimp from my meme

Thought this lady was fanning quite a bit, then I see a couple yellow flashes. Literally a couple, two. I see two eggs. Pathetic.

I created a reference guide for popular shrimp sizes

I never saw one before, I'm sure there's something somewhere, but I took it into my own hands to make a guide for shrimp sizes. I sized them, to scale, based on the larger measurement I could find; sex, age, and the living conditions of the shrimp will all affect their actual size. If the numbers are egregiously wrong, let me know. There are other species I debated adding, but these 9 seemed to be the most common I see online and it also fit neatly into my image.

I claim no ownership to the images used, this was created solely as a reference for the community. Anyone with some half decent artistic skills I'm sure could make up a beautiful hand drawn image if they felt so inclined.

If there are enough requests for other species maybe I'll update it with a larger version. I could definitely go into the common marine species like cleaner shrimp and sexy shrimp as well so it could definitely be added to.

Will Power, knowing he's about to retire with a damaged car, makes his feelings known to Scotty

Broadcast only showed the turn 7 incident, but the fact he literally let 3 cars pass him just so he could start getting his revenge sent me laughing.

Me when my first time moms finally get berried

I kept seeing the round shrimp meme and felt like we needed one for the opposite scenario.

Discovered my first snails/limpets in my neo tank, what would you do?

Hey guys, today I noticed at least 2 small snails or limpets for the first time, I'm assuming some eggs survived on some plants or wood and they've finally reared their heads.

What would you guys do? Accept them as part of my planted tank ecosystem? Use chemicals to eradicate them while their numbers are still small? Blanched cucumber overnight to remove them/keep them in check? Freak out and start over?

I'm not freaking out, I know this is possible or even expected from planted tanks depending on how you source everything. On the bright side my first baby neos have appeared today as well so I'm more happy than anything 🥹

There was some discussion about black vs frosted background for darker colored shrimp. My verdict is 100% frosted.

The clarity of my shrimp (and water with added purigen) is truly awesome now. I can still see them when the lights go off at night from the dim surroundings. I personally feel like it really helped make my little scape look like a slice of a riverbed. I can't stop looking over from my desk while I work.

My Opae Ula tank is below with the black background. I think the two vibes work much better with the different colored backgrounds.

5 days ago I added neos to my tank, 4 days ago I noticed a large molting, today I have a pregnant shrimp 🤰

On top of having two pregnant shrimp in my opae ula tank I feel like such a shrimp expert for doing practically nothing.
