Is there any mothers who don't take photos?

I already feel like I am weird for following the opinion that photography of living beings is haram. It feels like hardly anybody follows this opinion despite the evidence and many scholars who prohibit it. It's especially hard now that I'm a mother of a small baby and it makes me very sad that I can't take photos to remember my baby. It's a huge temptation for me that I have the desire to do every day. I'm so sad that I won't be able to remember his cute face clearly when he is older.

How do you deal with this?

How else do you keep memories of your babies and children without taking pictures?

Can I report without buying?

I did not order this, although I did order from here 2 years ago. I had the experience you'd expect based off this post.

They are clearly saying what you get in this bag, which defeats the purpose of surprise. And when you look at the value compared to the menu, it's the same exact thing as what you can get to order in store. It's the bottom left on the menu btw.

Is there any way I can report this without buying anything? And how is it still on the app with such good ratings if they've been doing this for at least two years?

Is taking pictures of living beings allowed in Islam?

Shaikh Saalih al-Fawzaan hafidhuhallah was asked: What is the ruling on taking pictures with the cellphone camera while it does not leave the cellphone?

Answer:

“All pictures are prohibited with a cellphone or other than it. The Prophet (ﷺ) prohibited pictures and cursed the picture makers and he did not make an exception. All pictures are prohibited. All their types, means, and forms, except what is due to a necessity. The Scholars have passed verdicts for its permissibility in a necessity. Yes”

[Translated by Faisal Ibn Abdul Qaadir Ibn Hassan, Abu Sulaymaan]

There is a difference of opinion on what falls into the topic of picture making in Islam. I want to encourage others to look at the evidence of this topic with an open heart and mind seeking the truth, as many have neglected looking into it. May Allah guide us all and forgive us all.

When to make DUA on the day of Arafah

I saw a post claiming we make dua leading up to Maghrib on the day of Arafah by the time in SAUDI even if we are elsewhere.

I'm in Canada so there is many hours difference, someone said to make dua at 11:45am in our time EST which is sunset in Saudi.

I'm 90% sure this is a claim with no proof

And also doesn't make sense to me that the world should do it according to the time in Saudi but I don't want to waste my time explaining.

Please just tell me if there is any evidence for this claim or not. And show evidence from Sunnah if we are supposed to do this

JazakAllah khair

I just am kind of frustrated by this. I'd like to know if we are wrong for this or not.

My husband and I have been living here for 8 months. We live in a small 3 floor apartment building in the basment with 5 apartments, the middle level is double size than the rest.

The door to outside is kind of loud when you close it if you're not careful. My husband when leaving for work was not closing the door slowly enough, very early in the morning. I never heard that much of a noise when he leaves, I did hear it but it was not that loud. I guess the noise traveled and echoed upwards and it was loud enough to wake some of the neighbors above us up. But we genuinely didn't even have any idea it was bothering anymore.

One of the tenants on the top floor stopped to talk to my husband about it and told him. He was shocked. The guy on top floor told us that one of the other tenants said we should "know better" and that was her reason for not leaving a note. If they didn't want to be direct to leave a note at our door, they could have even just left a sticky on the front door. It does make a bang, but we legitimately did not realize it was loud enough to wake anyone up. Its not THAT loud for us at our level if the front door isn't closed carefully enough.

Apparently someone else in the building would bang on their floor to let us know since they knew I was home, but I NEVER heard any noise. Either someone on the top floor thinks it would reach us, or the tenants on the middle floor were banging above the apartment next to us instead of ours.

I do feel really bad but I don't know if we are at fault. So I'd just like opinions please.
